Title: The Flashback
SugaNET.info - March 15, 2009 01:52 PM (GMT)
We are doing this on SugababesFanclub.nl and it's is succesfull!
'The Flashback'.
I or you will post every Sunday a old performance from the previous era's (so from One Touch to Change) and then we can talk about it :P How great it was, what the song or performance means to you and how good or maybe bad it was.
I will start with:
Sugababes - Follow Me Home (Live @ TOTP) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBn8-LqSQvMI just love this performance. Pity that the song flopped. If they released it later then it could be a huge hit!
What's your opinion?

It remains in my top 5 Sugababes tracks to be fair. Dispite it flopping for poor promo and time of release, for it to chart where it did ( top 40 ) was ok to be fair.
Deffinitaly has a winter feel to it.. and Amelle's openning verse is magical. Video was a bit freaky though, although I understood the concept of it.

What a great idea! :)
I love this performance - they all look and sound amazing. I think it's cool how they used the instrumental as the introduction too. Although, in Heidi's verse Amelle should sing 'no matter what I'll always be around' like Mutya did in the GAY performance.
If you listen carefully you can still hear Mutya's vocals at the end of the choruses - 'life, life...'.

I personally will always prefer this track with Mutya.
I thought that it was STUPID idea to release this over Gotta Be You.
Follow Me Home underperformed so much, and it really deserved to flop.
Who do the managers think they are releasing such a mellow song in a Summery season?

I know, I still can't believe that Gotta Be You wasn't released that summer.

Week 2:
'Conversations Over' Live (2004) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUCIeSwzZHQJust amazing. Mutya looks very tired there, I don't know if she was pregnant there ..
But good performance! ;)
What's your opinion?

Not really my favourite performance of Conversation's Over but it's alright.
There were several things that annoyed about the performance;
1. The backtrack at times was loud, particularly, when the chorus kicks in
2. Heidi and Mutya both refusing to hit their high notes

Follow Me Home (live):
well it is my favorite track from the album, and I prefer Amelle version.
her voice is great in this song. Unfortunately it was flop :(
Conversation's Over (live):
SugaNET.info, honestly you know 2 of my favorites! This song is also in my top 5 of the Babes. They should've released this instead of In The Middle.
I love both songs so much :P
