Title: Here Comes The Law!

In Denial - January 7, 2009 11:51 AM (GMT)
Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah's night out in London came to an abrupt end last night when her friend was taken away by police.

The Hampshire beauty, 24, was partying at Mayfair nightclub Mahiki with Russian designer pal Nicole Sconciaforni when their fun was interrupted with a visit from the police.

After popping outside the club for a cigarette break, the below zero temperatures soon got too much for the party girls, who climbed into Sconciaforni's nearby parked Porsche to keep warm.

Clearly not wanting a chilly smoking session get in the way of her drinking, Berrabah carried her Mai Tai cocktail outside the club and into the car.

Dressed in a checked pink strapless dress and leggings, the About You Now singer looked freezing as she stepped outside the venue - a favourite with young royals.

After passing her drink to Sconciaforni to hold in the car while she lit her cigarette, passing police officers spotted the pair.

Given they had seen the two women with alcohol in the car, the police were concerned Sconciaforni was over the legal alcohol limit to drive and asked her to step out of the Porsche.

After spotting the paparazzi outside the club clambering for a photo of the Sugababe, police asked the singer and her friend to get in their patrol car so they could talk in private.

Following their tête-à-tête with Berrabah and Sconciaforni, the police drove the pair back to Mahiki 30 mins later.

The Girls singer was allowed to return to the nightclub, but she soon exited the venue and got in a taxi home.

It appeared Sconciaforni's communication with police wasn't over - after collecting her coat and bag from the nightclub, she was driven away to a nearby police station.

A Metropolitan police spokesperson confirmed this morning a woman had been arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified on Dover Street at approximately midnight and remained in police custody.

Funny isnt it?

You probably hear about this exact thing counless times on the news and around you in towns.. just cause melle was with her friend the media had to make a song and dance out of it. <_<

I am glad for once she was the innocent party, and I do hope her friend is ok too. It was good to hear Amelle went home afterwards after it all. I doubt her friend will be charged with anything, she wasn't doing anything dangerous.

I don't like this....
But as you said Pete it's good to know she went home afterwards.
But maybe this Nicole isn't that good 4 her.

Amelle did nothing wrong. As long as she isn't drinking and driving then I don't get the fuss.
