Sugababe Boyfriend 'Attack' Hearing

A man charged with an alleged machete attack on the boyfriend of one of the singers in pop group the Sugababes is due to appear in court.

Jimmy Wenman, of Rectory Lane, Bentley, Hants, is expected to enter a plea during the hearing at Winchester Crown Court.

The 29-year-old is charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm against Freddie Fuller.

The 25-year-old alleged victim, who is the boyfriend of Amelle Berrabah, was treated for severe injuries to his arms and legs after an incident on Christmas Eve last year near a pub in Aldershot.

Berrabah, 24, who was born in Aldershot, is the most recent singer with the Sugababes. She replaced co-founding member Mutya Buena in December 2005.
