Title: Keisha on Myspace: Imperfection, Perfection?
Description: Another blogpost!

SugaNET - July 28, 2008 06:31 PM (GMT)
After several months of being a part of MySpace community Keisha decided to post her second messege on a blog:

Imperfection, Perfection?

QUOTE
What is perfection to you when you look at your self and others? Is it being really slim? having straight teeth, big boobs? a 6 pack (for the guys lol) The best car, job? The right skin tone IE: Not too pale, not to dark?.....Is having/not having fake hair, nails, contacts Or having the latest designs perfection to you?

I remember when mutya would say that she loved guys with scars on their face :-) To her that was really sexy.
I love the rapper NAS, yes because of his talent but his chipped tooth!!!!!.....To me it is the best thing about him.
Do you remember watching the film Dirty Dancing? Well, the main female character had a curve in her nose which to be honest i never noticed until i realised something was different about her, She had it removed because her idea of perfection was a tiny nose. After she did this she found it difficult to find film roles because the one thing she hated was the one thing everyone else loved. Our views of perfection towards ourselves is obviously different to what other people see.

We all have hang ups about how we look, but im trying to except my flaws because lets face it, im bloddy stuck with it LOL
And im finding ways to complement the things that bug me, Things that maybe only i notice.

For example, i have a scar on my hip from getting hit by a car at 10 years old and i hated it so much that i wouldnt even wear a swimsuit!!!!! But then i grew more confident with other parts of my body so i thought, ok i have a scar so what! right now i have killer abs in this little top LOL
Even when i put on weight i think to myself well, i wont be able to wear the little shorts i wore for fashion rocks when i was a size 8 so Lets concentrate on the hour glass look....wearing things that bring out my shape.....Its all about balance.

Tyra banks is a great example of someone excepting her flaws, She always talks about her forehead being big and even took off her bra on her talk show to show that even though she is a model, she still has "imperfections" and its ok. Tyra is SOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful so it made people who had worries about themselves feel that they could do the same as her.

So if you haven't already try and work with what you have and remember that one negative persons view on your image shouldnt matter because they are the most insecure people!!!! and hey there is nothing better then knowing your flaws and excepting them :-)

Aww thats so nice. (: Im loving Keisha's little blogs.
I believe also that people should accept their flaws its what makes you YOU.
We cant all be perfect and in my eyes imperfection is beauty.

Nothing in the world is ugly.

It all has its place, as we do as a species. Its just how people choose to forsee it personally. If everyone kept their own views about what they never found attractive private, the world would be a better place in some respects.

Everyone has right to be who they are. Nobody can really say otherwise.

Keisha's a really smart lady, and these blogs are proving that well. She's very true in saying we should focus on our best qualities, rather than out worst. If only everyone thought like her in that sense!

And I know I'm being really stupid, but I felt sad when she mentioned Mutya at the start... I just wish they could be friends again. :(
