Im using Windows Movie Maker to make a video, the problem is when i try and import a video in the format .avi and error message comes up like the one below.

| could not be imported. The selected file is not valid or is corrupted. |
I dont know why, was wondering if anyone could help.
Thanks
Could be one of many.
For one thing, a file will only corrupt if it:
A: Has downloaded incorrectly from its primary source
or
B: Has been over-written by another program that uses it as a source base.
The problem is more than likely the format specifier is wrong. One thing to do
is to check if Windows Movie Maker accepts AVI extension files. If it does, then
check the file you are using is compatable with the software. ( There is most likely
a list of supported files in the "help" files )
If this still doesnt work, browse the help files or even email MS support or google the problem. There is almost always a solution to a compatable error code.
Hmm
I Think you might need to convert it to MPEG or somthing
If you dont have the software
then you can get loadsa different ones for free on the internet
Download.com has a few gems aswell!
