LYRICS
It was so easy that night
Should have been strong, yeah I lied
Nobody gets me like you
Couldn't keep hold of you then
How could I know what you meant?
There was nothing to compare to
I know everything changes
All the cities and faces
But I know how I feel about you
There's a mountain between us
But there's one thing I'm sure of
That I know how I feel about you
Chorus
Can we bring yesterday back around?
'Cause I know how I feel about you now
I was dumb, I was wrong, I let you down
But I know how I feel about you now
All that it takes one more chance
Don't let our last kiss be our last
Give me tonight and I'll show you
I know everything changes
I don't care where it takes us
'Cause I know how I feel about you
Chorus
Can we bring yesterday back around?
'Cause I know how I feel about you now
I was dumb, I was wrong, I let you down
But I know how I feel about you now
Not a day passed me by
Not a day passed me by
When I don't think about you
And there's no moving on
'Cause I know you're the one
And I can't be without you
Chorus
Can we bring yesterday back around?
'Cause I know how I feel about you now
I was dumb, I was wrong, I let you down
But I know how I feel about you now
Chorus
Can we bring yesterday back around?
'Cause I know how I feel about you now
I was dumb, I was wrong (I was wrong), I let you down (I let you down)
But I know how I feel about you now
But I know how I feel about you now
Yeah I know how I feel, about you now

I think we all know about this song by now.
It;s amazing. Top of the charts at the time of writing and still going strong. I think this may well become their biggest selling single to date.
Sugababes UK - October 9, 2007 02:46 PM (GMT)
It's done amazingly well. I wasn't sure how it would be received at first.
It is a great song though and I do love it, it's nice to hear different versions of it too.

Great comeback from a great band! This doesn't top Freak Like Me, which is still my favourite number one. After crying over the Sugababes' split, I saw the Freak Like Me video on tv, and became instantly glued and overjoyed! I wondered "who the hell is that new girl?" but soon grew to love her, in fact she became my favourite babe.. showing that they could continue even with a member down.
So, the first studio album with Amelle, and what a comeback! Again they proved they can pull it off, trying another fresh and new idea. This is as different to Overload as it is to Freak Like Me, Hole In The Head, Push The Button and Easy. I love it, and it deserves it's number one position. I mean, will a comeback single ever chart any lower?

Does anyone else think this song doesn't fit in the album? Not saying its bad just doesn't seem to follow the theme... Whatever that is

This has to be one of my all time favouite Suga songs. I will never hate this song. I have a feeling it will also go down in history as their biggest ever hit. ;)

Every time I listen to this song it's like listening to it for the first time again, and remembering how much I absolutely ADORED it. There's lots of different bits to the song that I keep discovering and it's just so uplifting, even though the lyrics are quite sad. I love it in every version (apart from the Sticky mix), and I'm so glad it did as well as it did because it deserved it.
Definitely my favourite Sugababes song by a long way now.

No. Why?

Going to be interesting if the babes can beat the sucess of this song. Hopefully they can do. The certainly have the protential.
toolostinyou - March 30, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
What's amazing about this track (and what prbably makes it one of the best babes song so far) is that i'm still not growing tired of it!
And I completely agree with you AmelleLover26m, that'd be interesting if the babes could beat the success of this song, because if its the case, that would mean another n°1 hit :D

It would also mean that single would take over About You Now as their biggest selling single!
AmelleLover26m - March 31, 2008 07:16 AM (GMT)
I put the same question to Rob just after AYN made #1 last year and he said for a song to beat it, it would have to blow the world away.
It really would have to as well. Im hoping on their next album, the opening track does just that again.
W2K - March 31, 2008 09:20 AM (GMT)
Well it's definitely gonna be hard to beat, considering it's one of the most perfectly crafted pieces of pop music in a long time. Heaven knows what they'll do next but I'm sure it'll be great and at least be on par with About You Now.
AmelleLover26m - March 31, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
One of the things you can say about the babes is their album openners have been spectacular. I sort of said this before but its true. Every first single from a new album has done well.

All except Easy. Easy is a fantastic track. When I was looking on the chart website, I was expecting to see it at #1, because every first single from their albums (apart from One Touch) reached #1. I was so upset when I saw it was at #8! And it didn't sell well at all! I mean, all the #1's sold more on their first weeks, than Easy did with its total sales!
AmelleLover26m - April 1, 2008 03:44 PM (GMT)
Yes but it should of been Good To Be Gone. Easy still made top 10, and it did well, but Good To Be Gone, which was the fans choice, would of done much better.

Why couldn't of they released Easy and Overloaded in October, then release Good To Be Gone in early January? That would've probably got top 3.
AmelleLover26m - April 1, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
Partly due to the tour last year. They wanted a cd to sort of accompany it, so I can see the sense in it. But its the label again with their odd decisions I guess.
Clementine - April 1, 2008 04:08 PM (GMT)
Wasn't it because of Walk This Way? I remember that they were planning to release Good To Be Gone but cancelled it and released WTW instead or something like that.

Actually Anne that sounds more like it. I guess as it was also charity, and they had to organise it all with GA.
Clementine - April 1, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
It was good that they did WTW since it was for charity and everything, but I would've prefered if they'd released GTB. It's miles better than WTW.

I think the vast majority of Sugababes fans would agree with that statement.
The very fact they were asked to do it was quite an honnor, Keisha and Heidi going to Africa I found very moving and the whole meaning that surrounds CR is about having a heart and reaching out to people.
The song with GA was sort of thrown in, and it was good that money rasied was used to support the charity.

Yeah and it's great that they did it, but they so should've chosen another song, like a ballad or something. That would've been taken more seriously and probably would've raised more money.
AmelleLover26m - April 1, 2008 04:29 PM (GMT)
True. If they are ever asked to do a charity affair again, and I hope they do in the future then I am sure it will do just as well. But, if this includes a song, then I hope it is written by them, and I am sure from the heart too.
I can see it doing very well.
Keisha4Ever - April 19, 2008 12:27 PM (GMT)
This is what I meant. If they released Easy and Overloaded in October, and Good To Be Gone early January, they might have been able to release Walk This Way the same time.
