Title: My Mega Awesome 2100

Crashdummy - July 2, 2006 04:18 AM (GMT)
I'm almost done modding my 2100 and can't wait to use it. Here is what I've done to it so far.

*Swapped bladder for a CPS 1000 bladder
*Added 100 balloons over the CPS 1000 bladder.
*Switch inner PC piece (the one in the bladder the PC clamps onto) I had to do this because the one on the CPS 2100 is female, but on the CPS 1000 it is male.
*Put bladder in large 1-3-5 PC.
*Cut away at soaker's body with a dremel for a little over 4 hours (+1 hour including eating, finding dremel, getting a plastic chunk out of my eye, finding my goggles so it doesn't happen again, etc.)
*Using the dremel to make room at the top of the PC where the screws were for the vinyl tubing. Then cutting away there some more to let the trigger valve open all of the way (doh), the pump shaft fits, and so that the trigger rod has room.

And here is what I will do tomorrow

*CVF
*Nozzle mod
*Buy a can of flat black paint and paint it.

Yes, I know July 4th is very close, but I think I can make it. I put it all together and tested it, and even though I could only get one pump in before the check valve kicked in, that was enough, because now I know it works. On the 3rd I will test it, and on the 4th I will have fun at the block party. :ph43r:

Any name suggestions? I can't think of any. Also, what size bits should I use for the nozzle mod? I need sleep now. Laterz.

Cool. Be careful not to blow out the trigger valve, which might be easy with 100 balloons. Then again, it might not, for the pc should hit the walls of the case and stop the pumping before the pressure in the valve is too great.

For the nozzle mod, read the old stream article at SSC, which tells you how to find your ideal nozzle size based on math and tests.

Alright, thanks. I totally forgot about that article. :P Just to be safe I'm going to coat the trigger valve in epoxy. I really don't want that exploding on me.
