Title: Multi-Shot Nerf Homemade
DX - March 12, 2006 02:59 AM (GMT)
Ok, it cost me $50, so it better be damn worth it. Basically, the design is like a Douchenator, only there is a second ball valve that divides a small area from the rest of the air chamber. This way, I can have multiple shots, the number depending on the length of the air chamber.
I also can glue that N00b Killer homemade now that I have the glue.

You might want to try a CPS rubber bladder so that the second shot would be just as powerful as the first. Are you making a turret, or just shoving a dart in the barrel?

The gun willl have ~5 shots, not really sure until I test it. I just finished it a few minutes ago. It is muzzle-loaded, as I really don't see the point of wasting time on breeches or other things that may shave off a fraction of a second of load time.
EDIT: Well, the glue is dry, but the schrader valve didn't go in straight enough. Going to take it out and try again.

Do you have any pictures? I was pretty interested in your implementation of a multi-shot system when you posted about this.

It's actually pretty simple, the 2nd ball valve in the air chamber can be opened and closed to allow pressure to move over and be used in separate shots until there's none left. It can be used all in one go, in a couple, or in ~4-7? I still haven't been able to get the schrader valve in all the way...even with a wrench. I stripped the valve grip too much because I forgot about the wrench for a while. And it is in far enough that taking it out would be difficult and demoralizing. So maybe tomorrow I'll make another go at it. Pictures will come when I have time [tomorrow], but here's a bad outline:
barrel----------------ball valve--air chamber--ball valve--------------air chamber--end cap
