Yep, the Ridgewood Militia will be taking the field on Saturday, March 25th at the usual place...but not with water guns. We are hosting a Nerf war, and a pretty sizable one at that. I am expecting a turnout of 10-20 people! This will be the first time I fight with a Tech disadvantage. Not to mention that we are middle aged in this war [17]. The youngest is 14 and the oldest is 23. Wish us luck... :ph43r:

If you want a good homemade, I would build Carbon's SNAP with his inline clip. It gets good ranges and is very easy to build. I'm thinking about building one myself ;)

My Nerf Homemades. Yeah, pretty simple, nothing special. I am starting to build a 4 shot version of said guns, but using 2" instead of 3" PVC with 2 air chambers, themselves also split in half. Kinda like the 2 shot Douchenator idea using a Y piece. Ok, so maybe I personally won't be at a Tech disavantage [I've modded my stock guns also], but the rest of the team...err....it will be an interesting war.

I would carry a backup gun and a bike pump out there :P

Are you planning on using those? You would be able to snipe people, but if they got too close, you'd be dead unless you had a sidearm with a quick ROF.

I probably wouldn't use those, I would use the 4 shot that I'm buying parts for today. My sidearm would either be a Mav or an RF 20, plus a Secret Shot pistol as something to carry in a pocket. I wouldn't use the homemade in close because of course there would be no time to repump air. Although 4 shots helps, plus the fact that multiple darts can be rammed in the barrel, and they scatter when shot.

I don't think I would want to use an air homemade against anyone closer than 50 feet... That wouldn't be so nice. ;) That's one of the reasons I think the best option for me would be a spring gun. It has high ROF, pretty good range, and won't kill anyone if I shot a marble out of it! ;)
