^ Yeah that's it thank's for the tip. Duxburian must have been pleased with the changes at isoaker and done something similar here because the board seems smaller now. B)

We usually set our own tempo with contracting and expanding, having done it quite often. Although the ISCF boards action did make me consider a small contraction here to make the forum more lively. It saddens me to see the outgrowth from mid-2005 nearly fully repealed, but that's how forum activity has played out. There was a time when all the boards would light up with posts, day after day, even though there were so many. Our record is 628 posts in a single week, back with the 2nd group of Soaker Media. There have been 3 distinct "groups" here: the 1st being before the official release to a few months afterwards. The 2nd was over the late spring to the early fall. The 3rd was here from late fall to right now.

I wonder why smaller board sizes picks up posting anway. It doesn't seem like it should make much of a difference. But it does...

When there are many forums, they tend to be inactive. People then see a whole bunch of "dead" forums and don't feel like posting in them. When there are less boards, it is more inviting to post in them since they tend to stay very active. In rare cases, there is enough strength to keep lots of forums aflame with activity, but that cannnot be sustained for over 2 weeks.

Soaker Media, IMO, definitely has one of the coolest-looking and feeling boards I know. The iScF have a clean feel, but this place has a nice vibe.

I was planning on pushing up some 2006 Super Soaker info here, but I was definitely beaten to it. :P

While I'll still post mostly at iScF, I still do check and post around, too.
