Title: Community Bashing = Not Cool
DX - December 14, 2005 11:25 PM (GMT)
Can we please cut down on the public Community Bashing? If one has grievences against a forum for any number of reasons, address that in IMs or PMs. The last thing we need in bad times like these is fighting and arguing over how a certain forum is run, and stuff along those lines.
That goes for here, and elsewhere. The community in general needs none of it.

It's not community bashing, it's constructive critisism.

Some it, though, isn't necessary.

| Ok, if no one has realized, all the strictness here has driven away many good members forever. Whenever someone makes a post trying to help, they get accused of playing the moderator. Drewsky got banned and his topic deleted when he hinted at this. |
Only one person has been accused of "playing the moderator." And Drewsky was not banned for that, he was banned for taking things to the extreme and flaming the Sh*t out of Doom, Freakymist, and Hyper 9, way back in 2004. I will not repeat some of the things he said in his rage.
Still, all of this should have been addressed in private. I am quick to learn, I have figured out that the general membership hates this kind of unrest and dispute.

Wasn't public community bashing or suspected community bashing what killed Aquatica?

There were a lot of reasons. But yes, unrest inside and arguments were a part of its downfall.
