Title: Modded a Nerf Gun

I was bored today, so I opened one of my Mavericks. Took out the air restrictors. I tried to do some other stuff, but it wouldn't shoot when I did. The gun shoots much better now without the restrictors, although I wanted to go further.

Did you make the barrel air-tight (glue all holes)? Stretch the spring?
Did you get any more range, or was it just the same?

I didn't glue, although I might try and replace the spring with a stronger one. This Mav was the weaker of my two, so I may do a more full mod to the other one.
The range improved, I can't really measure it because there's still a shitload of snow outside though.

If Anyone sees a mod for a Nerf Big bad bow, could you please email, PM or Yahoo! me, because my Big Bad Bow sucks and has got terrible range compared to my bros SuperMaxx3000 (stock). My BigBadBow fires rockets and his supermaxx only fires darts.

You could re-barrel it, cut out the current barrels and replace it with 1/2" PVC. It'll shoot farther, but you'll have to use Stefans.
