Title: Northeast Snow Storm
DX - December 9, 2005 04:07 PM (GMT)
We got about 5-7 inches, haven't measured yet. Nibor and I will shoot snowballs out of the Douchenator later when the temperature rises enough to pack the now powdery snow. We also got a snow day. The Ridgewood district actually closed, for once!
LIGHT ANNIHILATOR - December 9, 2005 04:36 PM (GMT)
I only got 3-4", but that came with alot of sleet so I got a snow day too. My friends and I are having a big snow ball fight later today. B)
DX - December 10, 2005 01:27 AM (GMT)
Well, we shot some snowballs in the street. Nibor accidentally shot one across the street over a neighbor's house, and deep into their backyard [oops]. We didn't expect that it would make it so far. :ph43r:
NiborDude - December 10, 2005 03:47 AM (GMT)
Screw water wars, I'm using this thing for snow ball fights. ;)
DX - February 11, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)
Finally. Possibly a foot or more for us here in northern New Jersey!
wetmonkey442 - February 11, 2006 10:10 PM (GMT)
18 inches up here. :ph43r:
Maybe no school on Monday! :) Please......
Some Guy - February 11, 2006 10:19 PM (GMT)
The snow is Just starting to stick in Maryland. Its a pretty nasty mix, it rained frist, so now its alot of very cold snowy slush.

Damn I'm only going to get 6 inches.
DX - February 12, 2006 04:50 AM (GMT)
We're about to get into the heart of the action. 3 inches on the ground, with heavy snow moving in. It is expected to remain heavy until about noon on Sunday. 10-16 inches!
Hannibal - February 12, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
Hmmm..., its been about 75 all week with clear blue sky, and record temperatures for this time of year (I'm in the Silicon Valley). I've had three soaker fights, and I'm still getting used to all my guns, especially my 1700.
By the way, on my family laptop the apostrophe/quotation key you have to press real hard to get to work, and the "g" (Oww!) key you have to press pretty hard to get to work. :P
Hunter - February 12, 2006 05:24 AM (GMT)
Yeah nice and toasty here in silicon valley B)
I have no one who wants to fight for now though :(...gonna have to meet up with ya soon hannibal...prepare to get soaked...lol

Hey, dude, watch it. ;) Or how would you like to get hit by my 30x CPS 2000 blast? :D
Seriously though we should get together sometime.
It appears Dux and LA are in the middle of winter. I've hardly ever touched snow in my life. BTW, how does a WBL work with snow? Won't the snow just shatter? Remember, Ive hardly touched snow iin my life. :ph43r:
wetmonkey442 - February 12, 2006 01:02 PM (GMT)
^It depends. If it's dry snow (i.e. good snow for skiing), then yes it will just blow out of the barrel like snow coming out of a snowblower. However, if it is wet (i.e. good for snow ball making), then you can squeeze it together, it will stick really well, you can fit it into the barrel,, make a perfect seal, and shoot it a couple hundred feet with only a few PSI. In fact, firing with less PSI is better, because anything past 50 will just shatter the snowball.
NiborDude - February 12, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)
We tried a snowball last snow storm back in december, and it flew at 120 PSI, went across the street over a neighbors house and over their back yard. It's pretty cool. We're going to be somewhere between 16-24 inches in this snow storm.
LIGHT ANNIHILATOR - February 13, 2006 01:40 PM (GMT)
I got more than I thought I would get (9 inches) but i'm still dissapointed. B)

Just because you have a cps 2000 doesn't mean you will win. Since you are still getting used to your blasters, you would get creamed by hunter. :P
Hunter - February 13, 2006 02:31 PM (GMT)
Hehe and I have some tricks up my sleeve you guys dun' know about...
hotshotwithcps4100 - February 13, 2006 04:47 PM (GMT)
Snowed all weekend...2 inches :(

Yeah, but it would be worth it to land a 30x blast on him. :D
And of course I wouldn't win just because of my CPS 2000. My number one problem right now is using range to my advantage. I have no idea how to angle my shots effectively. I usually end up outranging people when I use my 2000. If I fire levely, I will hit them unless they dodge or are too far away. But if I angle I might go right over their heads. I guess I need to learn...
NiborDude - February 13, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
We got 20 inches. New York, hit a record, 26.9 inches.

Wow, big snow. :o
A nice low seventies week so far, but rain is expected. I looked ouside and the sky isn't clear; there's lots of clouds.
Hunter - February 14, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
a well-done 21k will shoot farther than a 2000, and faster.
DX - February 14, 2006 01:05 AM (GMT)
You gotta quote what you are responding to, otherwise it seems incredibly random.
Anyway, it took me about 20 minutes to get to school instead of the usual 5. We got stuck right on my own street, then made slow progress through town, since the roads were really bad. Nibordude and I took some pictures/footage, maybe they will be posted if we have time.
Some Guy - February 14, 2006 01:18 AM (GMT)
We were snowed out of school today where I live. The roads were completely clear (which is very wierd, it normally takes days to get that done), but I think that the teachers wanted a break.
DX - February 14, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
The Ridgewood Board of Education is THE most anal in the nation when it comes to snow closings. If I got a penny every time all the schools in the county closed except us, I would be filthy rich!
wetmonkey442 - February 15, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
We had a snow day on Monday. The roads were pretty bad. However, the snow is melting fairly quickly now, and I don't expect anything ont he ground by this weekend.
