Title: SM Bill of Rights
Description: somethings not right here...

Hunter - December 7, 2005 04:55 AM (GMT)
I was reading the founding principles of SM, and we don't have the right to freely own and bear soakers. This is a form of oppressing the peaceful people of SM by disallowing them to possess Super Soakers, which is why they're here anyway. I demand that this ammendment be added immediately! I am posting this because there is nothing that says all rights not listed are reserved to the people...

PS: This is something of a joke, no one get mad at me.

Who voted no? :P Anyway, I'll get to that when I have time. The SM Founding Principles are just there A: as a guideline, and B: because I was bored one day. You know how much freedom you have, know what to say and what not to say, etc. Members here should be mature enough to not need any real, written rules. A basic belief from the beginning, and we will continue to stick to that idea. B)

Whoever voted no you better not have ever owned a single soaker you filthy hipocrites! lol jk jk

Come on guys we've had like 5 people vote...you guys want the right to your soakers right?

*Grabs douchenator* Light Annihilator...you wouldn't happen to be one of those people would you?

LIGHT ANNIHILATOR - December 9, 2005 04:33 PM (GMT)
*Grabs Havoc in self defense* Of course not. I voted yes the first day the poll was up, I even remember that I was the fourth person to vote only one person had said no before I voted. B)

*puts away douchenator* ok thats good...

NiborDude - December 10, 2005 05:22 AM (GMT)
This is like saying, we can't eat because we don't have a right to do it. Even if there was a right to own soakers, how the hell would we enforce it? I voted no just to make a point.

The ninth amendment in the U.S. Bill of Rights states (basically) that you have all rights not included in the Bill of Rights nor prohibited by federal law. Perhaps we need something like that.

That's what I said at the start, I'm posting this because there's nothing that says all rights not listed here are reserved to the people.

5. All powers not mentioned are reserved to either the people or the administration, depending on what those powers are.

The current phrase in the Bill of Rights. Purposely vague. You should know by now what you can do [which is a lot].

Yay...thanks!

ZOCCOZ - December 13, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
I'm undecided. :ph43r: There should be a soaker registry act. If you let every idiot have a soaker, then someone will point the barrel at their own face and you automaticaly have another bogus Law suit. Does that sound familar of a certain 1996 soaker?

DX - December 14, 2005 12:15 AM (GMT)
I've actually shot someone in the face with a 2500 from an inch away. It honestly wasn't that bad.

Hunter - December 14, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
were they under 10 years old?

You be suprsied(or not) how little it takes for people to sue. Especialy if its their 5 year old at the end of the soaker barrel.

Somewhere from 6-8 I think.

I was Actually asking Dux lol. The point is someone 4 feet tall wont take it as well as someone in high school. No offense if there are any 4 foot tall high schoolers here :P

The guy was my age. Since the 2000 lawsuit involved a little kid, I guess it is a bit easier to understand. Although companies shouldn't be liable for consumers' idiotic actions. But that's the crazy, messed up world we live in... :ph43r:

The MonsterRocket recently went over $70 on ebay. Recalled toys seem to make good money. If someone would be realy sneaky(and have alot of time to spare), they could buy off 1000s of models that are in a certain grey zones, then hype them up as "danger to children" to soccer moms in court and then selling those for good bucks to gullable bidders.

Hunter - December 19, 2005 04:49 AM (GMT)
Yeah that's sort of scary...I should try it! for all you soccer moms: did you know paintball has less yearly injuries than soccer?!
