I'm looking for a News System to use at SM. This will be a step up from the current plain text entries.

<Bump> This is very important, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I tried this one type of news system, but I can't handle .tar files, so that was out. I also tried getting gzip to handle the format, but I can;t get gzip to work. So, I still need a news system, free, that uses some other means of compression for the download.

Are you just looking for an easier way to post news like the system (I believe) on SSC? I really don't know anything about this anyway. :huh:

I'm trying a program called CuteNews. Unlike other ones using MYSQL, this is based in PHP, which I understand how to use and edit. Check the Main page in the coming days for the change in news type.

The News system is fully functional. I also changed up the front page a bit. Other than the graphics which need to be edited, the design is final v2. There's been a delay with the account so it may be a few days until I can buy the new stuff.
