At this board the categories are just new member, member, and veteran member, and right now they are based on plain post counts. Everyone speaks with an equal voice here, so there are no "special ranks" and no special rewards, at least not now. Your time in soaking, character, etc. does have some influence, but in the forum topics everyone's opinions carry equal weight. Seniority at other boards does not automatically make you a "veteran member" here. You need to re-establish your reputation here through following the rules, being a good member, not flaming, etc. For the time being you become a member at 50 posts and veteran member at 100. That may be changed in the future, but it works for right now.

Agreed. You shouldn't get a special rank because of how long you've been in soakerdom. It's how you have contributed to the community. B)

I think that is a really smart move. Plus, with less ranks, there will be less incentive for people to most garbage just to get thier post count high enough. Good job running the forums guys! :D

As some might have noticed, I edited the rank text to go along with military ranks. The actual ranks of new members, member, and verteran member, remain the same. Of course some probably haven't noticed because so many have custom member titles! :lol:

WHOO! I shall immediately go to see what rank I am by deleting my beloved custom member title. Or you could save me the trouble by just telling me what I am. B)

how do you make yourself a personal member title??

Go under "My Controls." Then "Edit Profile Info." Then it will say "Custom Member Title." Put whatever you want there and it'll show under your avatar.

It doesn't show up! :(

Maybe if you look harder or something...I use a custom member title...but it took me a while to figure it out...
