One of the saddest things I've ever seen: Vietnam war memorial
Imagine walking down a sidewalk. Then it appears as if you are going downwards when the land to the left of the sidewalk begins to slope up. It grows and grows until it's about 10 feet tall. The end of the wall is almost indestinguishable in the distance, and on the wall are Hundreds and Hundreds of Thousands of names of the soldiers who were killed in Vietnam.
Anyways, I'm back now, and have a LOT of forum reading to do. ;)
