Title: Possible War Friday
DX - September 7, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
As you may or may not know, our season extends well into September. We hope to pull off several more battles before the temperatures drop. The next one may be on this Friday, I'll have to talk with Nick.

I wish I had people to fight against...oh well, have fun at your war, I will probably be fdoing homework at the time.

I honestly think you can have water wars untill october starts. Even with the 60 degree temperatures and you could use the leaves as camoflauge.

Personally, I would like a March-December season, because I am somehow optimized for cold weather. Of course no one wants to battle until May and they want to stop in late September, maybe October if it stays warm.
For those who don't know, the Northeast does not have constant weather, in fact, it is anything but constant. I've seen 70 degree heat in December, I've also seen snow and negative readings in December. Snow and frigid-to-cold weather can last until mid-April.
I wouldn't mind fighting even with snow on the ground, but people with such a strong tolerance of cold are rare here. :(

I honestly like cold weather but fighting in the snow might be a bit to much for me. I say a season to mid november is possible. But where i live (in northen virginia) people don't really like cold weather so a december battle would be difficult.

I like to battle in any enviornment, but if it's too cold, and you get wet, it could be dangerous.

That is true bit imagine how cool this would be. A water war at night in 1 foot of snow. It would be the coolest water war ever not only do you have to use tactics to beat your opponent you would have to do it in below frezzing temperatures with limited mobility due to the snow. A soakfest in these conditions would be fun but a 1hk in this type of enviornment would be the ultimate water war.

Wouldn't it be really, really easy to die because you can't run in a foot of snow that well.

Snow is snow. If it's powdery, it's pretty easy to get around. I wan't to do some kind of winter battle and film it. Many people don't reallize that's if you have a winter jacket for skiing, it's most likely water proof. If you're really desparate, wear a mask so you don't get hit in the face. Besides, with all the running we do, it'll warm up pretty fast.

I had a funny thought: Homemades would do well in a snow battle since the pvc pipe is white! Same for an unpainted Douchenator, which would be even more effective.
Also, this would most likely not be in 1 foot of snow. New Jersey doesn't get 1 foot that often. What would have made for the ultimate snow battle was my old town during the Blizzard of '05, they got 38 inches plus 5 the next day from some random unrelated storm. Almost 4 ft of snow! Of course, good luck moving around, that would be at least waist high, over your head in the snowdrifts... :P

Back in 2002 i got 2 feet of snow and missed a week of school and the best part was that we did not have to make up the snow days.

I remember one year (probably 2002) I had 3 feet of snow! at the time I was so small that walking conventionally just got me totally stuck. so in order to move outside I had to spread my weight throughout every limb, so I was basically sliding along my knees to get anywhere. that was so cool though, at a sledding hill some guys built a giant ramp, the only problem was most sleds couldn''t get that high. It was funny  .
