Title: Training and disceplining a team...

I know belisarius' team has been ascting poorly recently and being overall b*stards to him. If you have any ideas on how to make them behave better, post them here.

My first choice would be to just find a better team. After that he should try to get them to listen by training them. If they listen they get chocolate (or money if your really desperate) and if they're bad they must repair countless max-d valves (always a pain). The problem with any punishment is that the punisher may be sued, or the team will just quit.

I think the idea of get a better team is really good. I don't think that chocolate or money is a good reward. If winning is not reward enough for them, they shouldn't be playing. As for if they do poorly, encourage them and help find out how they can be better next time. If they are plain assholes, kick them off the team. Lol, or maybe give them ONE warning. After they get booted, they will either just leave and never come back (meaning they dont care enough in the first place) or they will beg to be let on (in which case they will probably be better in the future so they dont get booted again)

Uh, I think you missed the point. His team didn't skip out on him, they needed to leave. We're all friends and there's no miss treatment of him. In fact, many of his members are commited to their group. It's just many of us are gone on vacation, have jobs, and a number of other reasons. Just make a douchenator, then you'll have many loyal soldiers. ;)

Ohhh. Then I guess that any sort of reward/punishment wouldn't be good. I just htought of it because I have a tiny 3 person team and my sister always tries to quit, but she doesn't  I can't really drop anyone unless they're terrible. In that case the adding a new (good) gun to the arsenal, modding one, building a douch, or anything to get an edge over RM then winning would be a good way.

If you want a loyal team, build a douchenator. The first year of our existance, not many people were interested, including our third commander, commander zee. But then I built the douchenator and that all changed. When you talk about it, you need to think carefully about what you say. Don't say, hey want to join a water war team? Bring it in slowly. Say something close to the subject but not directly linked. The first time I shot the douchenator was a hillarious story and I told everyone about it. Then they asked what I used it for and I said, we have extreme water wars, nothing like the little kid fights. Then they think to themselves, well, they built a WBL that shot an orange that hit an old ladies house. SOUNDS COOL!!! Sign me up!! That week we got a boost of maybe 4 new members.

You also have to win, or at least make it close. For that, you need numbers, or at least in our wars. Numbers are vital, 2v5 screws you, 4v4 means a tough fight, 5v2 is usually an easy blowout. And for numbers, you need to have ongoing developments or other accomplishments to up morale. Winning or fighting to a draw also helps. These things as you can see are inter-connected.
