Title: 8/14/05 Battle Report
DX - August 14, 2005 08:05 PM (GMT)
Well, most of the team was away, and the few who said they might be able to come cancelled at the last minute.
So I had no team to field.
I left alone, triple wielding a 21K, 1100, and 2500. I brought the PPP, some water balloons, and lots of water. Waterbridge had 4 people, so it was a 1v4!
I hid at the Upper Treehouse in the corner of the park and up on a ridge, hidden from the path and hidden from Waterbridge by its remoteness. I sat there and burned 1 and 1/2 hours of the battle, while they searched everywhere.
Nick finally found me and by then I had out-endured the rest of his team, who left early.
We had a 1v1 skirmish at the treehouse and the end result was a 3 1/2 to 3 1/2 tie. Don't ask about the half kills.
The next battle will be back at the Goffle, and this time I need to field an actual team. :(

Haha, nice. Even when Nick is up against only one guy he can't win! It's absolutely hillarious!!

When Matt left, he also took the guns, so Nick didn't have any. I gave him the 1100 and we had an 1100 vs 21K duel, me still in the treehouse. The 1100 has more soakage power and shot time, but the 21K has amazing speed and impact. I was afraid to shoot when he didn't expect it, because a point blank 21K shot to the head does hurt, much more than you would expect. Going under the treehouse doesn't work anymore, because you can lean over the edge and fire under. I have great reflexes, so I ran him out of water by ducking behind the treehouse walls at the last second. I would pop up, and duck down right before the stream hit. When the 1100 was out of water, the skirmish ended.
This was the first war that I have ever had to use triple wielding, and in those burning hot temperatures it is NOT fun.

Hey! His team cut out on him instead of staying and fighting. When he was against dux 1v1 then they tied. I feel sorry for Nick, his team hasn't been doing well this season, and though he may not see the forums, posting it openly and laughing about is very mean and objectionable in my opinion. Now, would you please edit that out of your post.

Excuse me? It's just harmless fun. You're taking this way to seriously.
Hunter - August 15, 2005 05:03 AM (GMT)
If I can take it too seriously then others might too. And whether jokingly or seriously, I still find laughing at his losses to be mean and I am against it. If you think otherwise, so be it. I have nothing more to say on this.

Uh, really, you're taking it way to seriously. It's a water war for gods sake.

It's harmless fun Hunter. I'm sure if Duxburian lost he would laugh at himself. You need to have a sense of humor. You live on the opposite side of the continent. How could you judge wat kidn of person Nick is. I'm sure he is seeign it for it was-a water war.

Thank you for the support, Hunter, but it is okay. Considering that my team ditched, while they were with me they weren't listening, and that I basically did the only fighting that happened by myself, things went decently well. Dux and I are just about equal, when our tech isn't a factor. The biggest mistake I made was to try and hide under the tree house. That just doesn't work.
We're launching anouther attack next weekend anyways.
The last victory of ours, a year ago the 1st of September, did not get laughed off by Dux, nibordude, or their team.

If you think it's ok then I guess I'm fine. Anyway, good luck at the next war.
EDIT: sorry, last night I was sleepy and wasn't thinkin straight.

I was expecting to lose yesterday, and actually did laugh when I had called everyone on the team roster, and came up empty handed.
My stalling strategy worked perfectly, as the treehouse wasn't well known. Beli knew I was hiding on the huge East Bank, but the rest of his team I think thought I was on the West bank. Why they thought I was there I don't know. It gets narrow and there's nowhere to make a stand when you're outnumbered 4:1.
Unlike in the past, we have a concrete set of rules, better pre-battle communication, and problems get worked out. So I really don't care what the outcome is of the next war, as long as both teams fight fair and kills get accounted for. B)
