Title: Next Battle
DX - July 10, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
I worked out the details for the next battle with Waterbridge. It will be held on either Wednesday or Sunday, 6-9PM, @ Waterbridge, Militia defending. It doesn't make sense that we are defending, since WB lost in Militia territory, not their own.
It would make more sense if: since we won at home, we would be attacking Waterbridge's park and they would be defending. That's how my original system would've worked. Under that system, say we lost at the Goffle. We would have to fight again there, attacking this time. If victorious, the next campaign would shift over to WB's park.
But since the defense enjoys a huge advantage, especially at Waterbridge's park, I'm not complaining that much. :lol:

Uh, changed. The battle is friday at waterbridge, 6-9. We are defending.

The next battle might be next weekend. Waterbridge picks the park and whether they want to attack of defend. Nibordude won't be here, leaving one commander, myself. We lead 1 campaign point to 0, so we can afford to lose this battle if we can't get good turnout. However, the last time we were outnumbered, we won. B)

well...if you have greater numbers and firtepower, the usual result is victory.

Actually, we won most of the wars so far this season not from the arsenal, but because our strategy has sharply improved. Waterbridge's arsenal has gotten better, but our tactics have also, and that makes more of a difference. We already have the guns, now some brains, too. Now that tactics and guns have somewhat evened out, numbers are the biggest influence on the wars. When the numbers are close, [like 5v4], the outcome is close [4-4 tie]. When the numbers are lopsided, [7v4], the outcome is usually lopsided [4-0 win]. B)

lol ok. i still think you guys have a big advantage.

Have you guys ever tried a 3v3v3 battle? It throws a whole new trist into the game.
Even better is a game we just started playing at our old abandoned naval air base. It requires atleast 8 people to be fun bit 12 makes it way more exciting. You find a small hill and put two flags at the top. Two teams of four split in half. Two people on each team go on opposite sides of the hill and the rest of their team stay at the top of the hill defending their team flag. The attacking halves of the teams can only go on their side of the hill and once they get shot, they have to wait 15 seconds to get back into the battle. The team members that are attacking get three lives and can distribute lives from one team member to another if they used their 3 lives. The people at the top of the hill defending only get 2 lives but they can immidiately come back into battle. The first team to reach their enemies flag wins. If one attacking team completely runs out of lives, they lose.

Interesting. I might suggest a 2v2v2 or 3v3v3 at the next war if we have enough people to do so. As for the other game, that would make a good article on SM. If you could write a longer version with drawings or pics, I could add it to the v2 Wars section. B)

I will get an article written, maybe some pics too. At the moment I am cleaning my room on the fourth floor of my house. It's too darn hot to be doing stuff like this, I should my using my soakers right now. :wacko:

I don't know where Belisaurius is. Hasn't been online in a while. The next battle should be this weekend, if I can contact him. We hope to have a good 2 or 3 battles in August, and a few in September.

<BUMP>
The War is Friday, August 11th, from probably 1-3 or 1-4 PM. Waterbridge has chosen to attack us at the Goffle. A double loss at one's home field = a Campaign Point. So far, we lead in Campaigns 1-0. But since Robin isn't here, it'll be somewhat harder. So let's not lose this one, if we get a lead, we aren't going to lose it to stupidity. :ph43r:

Cool. I'm not going to root for either sidr because both dux and beli are my friends. But, i say to both sides, give em' hell! (well, actually no, since you will be in a big water war hell would be extinguished fast :()
Some Guy - August 11, 2005 11:24 PM (GMT)
Lol. Yeah me too both sides have their strong points. I don't know Beli though so I lean towards Ridgewood Militia. However I am full heartedly on the side of fun and pure wetness.
DX - August 12, 2005 01:45 AM (GMT)
This will be a good battle, especially if we are able to field teams equal in number.
EDIT: Well, it's gonna be a 2 v whatever numbers Nick has. I've only got myself and Chris, which isn't good. I scouted our park yesterday, and all the good hiding places and some excellent defensive positions are situated out of bounds. We really should at least open up the Northern area, where there's still water in the stream and where 2 people could hold off 10. The dam is no longer a viable defense either, cause the brook has run dry.

<UPDATE>
Thr Friday battle never happened. Nick lost his cell phone, so he couldn't mobilize his team and didn't know the time it was supposed to start.
On that note, the War has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Sunday August 14th, from 1-3 PM, still at the Goffle.

Eh, I didn't feel like creating a new topic.
Our next battle will be a double war, with one this Saturday and one this Sunday. The Saturday is 2 hours at Waterbridge, then Sunday's is 3 hours at the Goffle. If I can't get enough people or if I get too many people, I will debut the APWL. Hopefully the glue will be dry, however, with this next batch of pouring rain, I'm not so sure. It might rain on Saturday, but as the rules go, it's on no matter what as long as it is dry at the beginning of the fight.
