Title: Rigdewood Battle Begins!!

NiborDude - June 4, 2005 02:59 AM (GMT)
The battle for Ridgewood begins tomorrow! Thats right, the militia and WaterBridge will be full force against each other tomorrow around 1. Hopefully we can squash them like the little bugs they are. BWAHAHAHAHA.

Victory to Waterbridge! *ducks waterballoons hurled at him from all sides*

We won at the very annoying loss of things in our backpacks which were not to be touched as said in the rules. Nick forgot to mention almost all of the rules and in the end his team just shot each other in anger and we won. It was kind of a big let down. The douchenator was not used during the war because we forgot the ammo. We had our biggest turn out too. We got 7 people and they had 4. The day had a lot of potential but it did not turn out the way we expected.

maybe another battle next weekend? i think beli was somewhat mad at his team and is going to "discepline" them...

That's tough. I hate it when things go badly like that; I feel for both of your teams!

Hope things go better next time. I remember my first large battle went badly (in my view, in any case).

Well, the begining was actually fairly good, although they used very interesting tactics that did not exactly work. We were walking along the path towards one of the forts when we noticed someone in the reeds. Everyone surrounded him and he held his own until I delivered a killing blow. Then when we walked further along, Dux spotted something in another patch of reeds. We were waiting and then a deer came running out. It was quite funny actually.

Their entire team except for Evan actually slipped through our rear when we were fighting in the reeds, although one-by-one and we didn't take too much notice. So by the time I spotted my deer, they were really somewhere on the other side of the battlefield. At the end Beli's team was quite angry at him, and shot him before they shot themselves. Evan, a member of his team, didn't even know that you could put on a new shirt after being hit, so he just stood in the river for an hour. The whole day was funny, if a little disappointing. That was the first time we have ever had enough people to split into 2 groups, and General Zee needs some more stealth training, as we could hear him from a significant distance away. He also decided to ford the brook and meet up with us at the deepest point: right at the dam! Just like 30ft. downstream was a shallow patch. :P Twas a very amusing battle.

War stories to come. We had some pretty good battles. This weekend we're off due to the 4th of July celebrations, but we have been having talks about a Dusk/Night battle sometime soon which could be very interesting. I looked for night vission goggles on eBay but they're very pricey. We'll have to resort to flashlights I guess.
