There are differnt types, but manly it is triggered and paint sprays everywhere. The idea is good. They sell some one eBay.

Yea, there are basic tripwire mines that use some LRT that cost $8, to remote control fancy super mines that cost $200...

I was messing around with my FF's pc when I had an idea. If you're war is near a hose that you don't want, or is in your enemies base stick on some LRT, bike inner tube, Or (in my case) a FF pc onto the hose turn the water until it starts to lightly leak. Then if the enemy tries to use the hose, they have a pressurized water chamber latched on. If they try to pull it of then the pressure is released and soaks everything relatively nearby. If they leave it be, then they just lost a hose.

I can spare my FF's it's hardly ever used for anything but experiments. This is why I call my FF my guinea pig.
