Title: Webring
Description: SoakerMedia, Hydrotactics, Forest Talons
DX - December 18, 2004 03:17 AM (GMT)
On the High Command forum, I proposed that Soaker Media, Hydrotactics, and Forest Talons form a webring to bring more traffic to the sites as one entitiy, while the sites retain their individual status. This idea has been accepted by Nick [Belisaurius] although I don't know Iceman's view on it yet.

<Bump>
I still haven't heard anything from Iceman concerning this issue. Nibordude and Belisaurius have both talked to him a few times in the last weeks. Did anyone mention the webring?

I talked to him about it a couple days ago. Told him to IM you because I really don't know the that much about it. Might as well post about it at their forums.

Wow, this is an old topic, did the webring ever get made?
EDIT: Maybe SSnation could join it?

SSNation could take the place of Forest Talons, which shut down. The webring was never formally created. Hydrotactics hasn't been updated in a while...Beli is busy.

Hmm...maybe also hydrowar...I'll talk to marauder...

If you guys want, a webring can be put on the newsletter site we are working on. ;)

Hmm...I think it would be better seperate, but it's not really my choice lol...

Having a newsletter webring could provide the community with that "central links hub" people have been proposing for so long. And unlike H2O, this could be a real joint-operation, with dedicated participation.

Yea, maybe a page in the newsletter with all the known soaker sites, their creator, etc etc
DX - August 31, 2005 10:49 PM (GMT)
There's going to be a Newsletter site, that's where the webring would be.

Does that mean we will all put links to the newsletter on our homepage? Better be a good banner for it :ph43r:
