Actually, leprekan didn't lie, I didn't lie, and the heights that Nibordude and Duxburian gave are pretty much consistent with what they have said in the past. It's not that everyone here (other than Leprekan) is tall, just that you are short :P

Hunter - March 4, 2005 03:12 AM (GMT)
Name: hunter

Commander_Gaunt - March 4, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
Lol wetmonkey I didn't say you did lie about your height, but lots of people in RPs say they are like 7 feet tall.

Forceuser - March 4, 2005 08:03 PM (GMT)
Name: Forceuser, or Force for short
Height: 6'3/4" (just so I don't get accused of lying, I am actually that tall)
Weight: 145 lb
Main gun: XX 50
Backup gun: Storm 600
Clothing: Black cargo trousers, black t-shirt, boots, backpack with extra gear
Appearance: Tall and thin, but deceptively strong
Personality: Loyal, determined, normally assertive but will get aggressive if friends or self in danger

wetmonkey442 - March 4, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
I want to make the map, however my image host downsizes large images automatically. We should make the land mass humongous, but not an island. And no driving tanks, flying planes, or owning submarines. No WBLs that can shoot forever, and have the energy force of a nuclear warhead. :ph43r:

Leprekan - March 4, 2005 08:36 PM (GMT)
That everyone? let's get started!

The leprekan is currently sitting on his deck attempting to hit squirrels with a slingshot as they climb on to his precious birdfeeders. he evenually gets frustrated and brings out an XP 220, marking the small, furry rodents with sniper-like accuracy. he suddenly feels a splash of cold water, as wetmonkey has just dumped a bucket on him...

*cue wetmonkey :P

wetmonkey442 - March 4, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
We don't have a map yet, but that can come later....

Leprekan, now infuriated with the rage that only a small green haired friend can posess leapt to his full height of 5' 3" and drenched the front of my shirt with what seemed like 5 times the total capacity of the xp 220. "Hey, buddy!" wetmonkey cried, leaping backwards. "I was just trying to tell you, I got the seal on the second solenoid valve done. The UKYBHM* is done." The went inside and down to Leprekan's basement where the beast lay on the workbench. on the side was inscribed the words, "The Devastator. Fear Pretty Much Nothing!" Sean nodded contemplatively, "Looks good, looks good. Except, "He reached out to tap the barrel. "The barrel is on backwards."
"What do you mean?"
"It's backwards"
"No way"
"Totally. Check it out." He pointed to the muzzle brakes. "These should be at the front."
"No, those are the secondary muzzle breaks. The primary ones feed into the silencer."
"Which isn't added."
"So?"
"So, you should at least turn around the barrel."
"But, it doesn't look good that way."
"It doesn't matter what it looks like, it's simple matter of performance."
"Looks help to boost esteem, which helps to boost performance."
"Yeah, but you need the initial power anyway."
"No, this thing'll compensate."
"The solenoids are too slow to compensate."
"Well maybe someone should hav bough better ones."
"Well, these would have worked if you had put the barrel on the right way"

etc.....
(continues for several hours)

Leprekan - March 4, 2005 08:50 PM (GMT)
eventually leprekan strangely produces a cordless power drill (he does this kind of stuff a lot) and drills a few perfectly spaced holes around the end of the barrel. "There! if you want anything to get done, just do it yourself..."

"...so let's test it!"

NiborDude - March 4, 2005 08:51 PM (GMT)
Uh, before we continue any farther we probably want to create a map. So that the RP can begin to form.

Leprekan - March 4, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
I think we should let the map kind of form itself as we continue the RP. that way we won't have as many restrictions as to what we can/can't do.

wetmonkey442 - March 4, 2005 08:57 PM (GMT)
We don't need a map to start it in Leprekan's basement :P

Leprekan - March 4, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
true. and we could just have it take place in the existing world... we post a map of stratford (easily found online) and have it here. of course, other members can have their towns border ours, provided a map is posted. that way, we are all on familiar ground. sound good?

of course we could always add some crazy stuff, just using the towns as a sort of template.

DX - March 4, 2005 09:04 PM (GMT)
How about we have a goal in this RP, like conquest for territory? Real towns sounds awesome.

How about we post all of the towns we want to use, then someone places them all next to each other, so a small "world" is created based on a few real locations.

NiborDude - March 4, 2005 09:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah that actually sounds fun, but if your town is going to be included you must post either an airial photo or some other kind of map for people to understand the area.

On the block of wilcoxson between beacon and stiles is a large L shaped two story elementary school, that in this RP will be abandoned. The large area between Allyndal and Parkway is a park that is about 400 feet long and 250 feet wide. The obvious pond has a narrow strip of land around it with a jogging path.

DX - March 5, 2005 01:01 AM (GMT)
@All-I would advise against posting your real address or the exact loaction of your house. Just the neighborhood and/or town borders. I think we should all start with schools as bases. You can't enter houses, but can enter stores for supplies. How about high schools are main bases and middle/elementaries are outposts. To conquer another town you need to take and hold their high school[s]. So what do you think? Oh, and try to get a map that includes the town borders so we can crop the maps and attach the towns in one big map.

A good idea, one that I thought of. In this RP, I posted a fake location. I actually live way North of that, though I did go to that elementary school :P

Hunter - March 5, 2005 01:27 AM (GMT)
are we going to have it so you could get like a CPS 2000 in a store or is it going to be just currently available stuff?

also, how do you do the bold?

DX - March 5, 2005 03:58 AM (GMT)
Certain guns will be available in certain stores. Depends on what kind of stores you have in your town. This RP could become really great! Tell us what stores you have [may or may not be able to tell on town maps] and then we can decide what guns will be available from those stores in the RP.

To make something bold, click the button that says "B" above the post box. COde will be generated. Now type your text. Now click that same button again, it'll generate more code

When you hit "post" the text will be BOLD

Hunter - March 5, 2005 06:18 AM (GMT)

Hunter was bored, it was one of those saturdays when you've got nothing to do, so you take out a soaker and just shoot it at like a tree, or something. Hunter had his Storm 800 out (it hardly ever got any use) when two guys with CPS 1000s jumpedout from behind a bush and started relentlessly soaking him. He was outmanned and outgunned, so he chose the option of ru into the house like a ninny  . Hardly anyone in his neighborhood ever even used soakers, so he determined that these guys were from somewhere else <_< ....

wetmonkey442 - March 5, 2005 01:06 PM (GMT)
Wetmoneky, in wetmonkey's basement after finally settling the WBL disagreement, heard Hunter's cry of distress. The first thought that popped into wetmonkey's heroic and always calculating mind was to lock all the doors and windows, and then guard the house with his new potato gun. However the sound of dripping water and CPS mechanics made him think otherwise. HE got out of his house, and saw Hunter, who he was kind of friends with, and a next door neighbor run into his house. He was pretty wet. So wetmonkey turned around and swung the UKYBHM at the two hoodlums with thier unmodded, unpainted CPS 1000s. The sheer size of the thing overwhelmed the two boys who wetmonkey judged to be 15 or 16, before they realized it wasn't loaded. They lifted thier guns to fire, when leprekan jumped out of the house with the NSKYBHM*, or our first WBL. That was loaded. A shot at the ground around them decimated the dryness level of their legs and lower torso. However, like most people would, water does not make them run away in fear. As they were closing in, Hunter came out of his house with two fully loaded and pressurized guns of his own choice :P (cue Hunter)

Hunter - March 5, 2005 04:58 PM (GMT)
Hunter popped out of his house with his flash flood and his devastator, planning to be shot at, but when he saw the guys with CPS 1000s were attacking wetmonkey, he crept stealthily over to the hose, and the new enemies were very surpised when a huge volume of water was slopped on their backs with the hose. They retreated around the block, presumably to regroup, hunter handed his guns to wetmonkey and leprekan and went inside to get his CPS 2100...

i get my guns back when we go to your house to get better weapons, right?

wetmonkey442 - March 5, 2005 06:26 PM (GMT)
Of course.

Wetmonkey and hunter followed Leprekan into wetmonkey's house to get soem bigger weapons. Inside the basement, or "war room", wetmonkey opened up the supply closet, which was actually just a huge metal crate with a door. Inside, several camoflauged and obviously modded 2100s lay, along with a painted 2700, and 2 camoflauged 3200s. Propped up against the side was 2 stock Monster Xs, and a box near the back held about 20 different small weapons. Wetmonkey glanced over to Hunter to see him salivaing. "It really isn't that much." he explained, pointing to a shelf at the top. "There's all the good ones." wetmonkey reach up and brought down about 5 different homemades. They contained a APH carbine, painted, a CPS homemade un painted and very ugly. (leaks like hell." wetmnoejy explained. He brought out three different WBLs, the Devastator which was pretty much a long barrel version of Nibordude's famous Douchenator, the Midget, which was only 2 feet long, and fired a special 1 1/2" charge, and the Midget II which was basically the midget with 4 extra inches of PC. It fired the 2" charge. He also brought down a box of special foam bullets for the cannons. A bright yellow container contained about 10 two inch long 1 1/2" OD foam bullets with a clear plastic tube running down the middle, and a hard plastic backing. He took one out, slid open the bolt of the UKYBHM, and put the rest into a special pack on his side. He took out an orange crate, that held bullets that looked the same but upon closer inspection, were not as short, and gave that box to Leprekan. Leprekan slid open the bolt of the NSKYBHM, and inserted one. Wetmonkey pulled out an extra barrel with a male attachment at the end, and handed it to Leprekan who began to switch barrel, transforming his WBl into a High Powered Rifle, which was still not as powerful as the UKYBHM. Leprekan compensated for this by reaching in and grabbing a 2100 that seemed to be fitted with an extensive nozzle attachment and a decal of a leprekan on the side. "go with what works." Is what hunter thought he heard leprekan mutter as he reached for some re-fill bottles. "He doesn't liek homemades much." Wetmonkey explained, before pulled on a combat vest over his light green t-shirt. "Pick what you want" He gestured towards the supply cabinet, as hunter's eye's lit up.

@Hunter, you have the choice between any gun in there, and the WBLs, and the two remaining homemades. The 2100s all have a 60 balloon h-mod with CFV. THe 2700 has a 30 balloon K-mod and no CFV, the 3200s are just painted. The MX are stock.

Hunter - March 5, 2005 06:41 PM (GMT)
Um, I must have missed something, what are foam bullets?

Hunter had never seen such a selection of CPS weaponry before, he chose the 3200 with the 2700 as backup. he soon changed his mind when he found he couldn't even walk to the basement door  . He decided to go with the 27000 and a 21000, and a few water balloons. Hunter, of couse was somewhat clumsy and new, which resulted in him dropping a water balloon on his foot as they left

Leprekan - March 6, 2005 01:59 AM (GMT)
As they were leaving, the Leprekan proceeded to explain the signifigance of the strange nozzle attatchment.
" It's a silencer," he explained, "and it also helps to further laminate the stream. I've been working on a green dye injector, but it's not finished yet."

he then demonstrated the modification by shooting clear over 3 houses to hit wetmonkey's elderly neighbor.
"ooh, I'll git you little hooligans!!!" was the exclamation they heard next. "see?' leprekan concluded. :D

DX - March 6, 2005 04:08 AM (GMT)
@ Wetmonkey: Do you have a map of the whole town? I'm going to try something, but I need the full map.

Hunter - March 6, 2005 05:49 AM (GMT)
after seeing leprekan's demo of the (what's it called) hunter hoped that not eveyone here was that good, I'm so out of my league, he thought. The bunch of guys that had attacked them earlier jumped out from behind a bush, hunter squeezed the trigger of the 2700, only to find he had forgotten to pump  . Wetmonkey and leprekan hosed down the (uh, what should we call them?) as hunter hurled balloon into their midst. They ran away, and the trio cheered over their first victory.

@ leprekan, wouldn't firing the gun give away our position?

EDIT:before we can really do anything, we need a map :(

Commander_Gaunt - March 6, 2005 10:22 PM (GMT)
CG had been working on his XP 220, extreme modifications were coming to a close. He fitted this to his backpack, picked up a couple of water bomb tubes and got out his 2500. "Time to go outside" muttered CG who couldn't resist a cliche.

The extreme modded XP 220 is something I've been working on this weekend, basically it uses the bits from the monster rocket that you don't send back for your refund. It turns the XP 220 into something which potentially could fire 100 feet at like 30x (like the monster rocket) but to be on the safe side, I have it on 3x and don't pump that much (still has a 50 foot range).

DX - March 6, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)
Whoa, where did you learn how to do that and are there instructions anywhere? I would love to make one of those.

@ Wetmonkey: Do you have a map of the whole town? I'm going to try something, but I need the full map.

No, I don't. Anything ibgger than that, I couldn't get the streetnames for, unfortuantely. Stratford is a very long and thing town.

DX - March 6, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
What about Mapquest? it could probably show the whole town plus street names.

Hunter - March 7, 2005 01:48 AM (GMT)
Hunter's group had come accross a school, which conveniently had a jungle gym that was made to look like a castle. They couldn't beleive their luck , it had the gaps in the walls that they could fire through, and unlike other jungle gyms it it was mostly covered up, protecting their dryness. It was unfortunately already occupied :( by a bunch of people who had stuff from the soakertag line :P , not too much of a problem, but somewhat of a pain in the butt. wetmonkey and leprekan used their weapons of superior range to bombard them, while hunter watched for a surprise attack. The little kids emerged from their fort, and upon seeing our weapons they ran for their puny dry lives, the fort belonged to wetmokey, leprekan, and hunter. Upon entering they discovered some uneaten mcdonalds food appearantly meant for their lunch. Oh, well, finders eaters

The MAP! 2 towns skillfully spliced together. Nibordude and I will be starting at the red star on the Ridgewood side. The star indicates the high school, although the school is just above it, taking up most of the land between Ridgewood Ave and Beverly Rd.

Forceuser - March 7, 2005 05:36 PM (GMT)
Force was through town to a friends house, with his CPS 4100, when he spotted some commotion. He decided to go over and investigate. On arriving there, he saw some people armed with soakers talking. Force readied his 4100, in case they were unfriendly, and approached.

"Hey!" he called over.

They turned to him and pointed their weapons.

"This doesn't look good," Force thought.

EDIT: End bold tag! You'd have thought I'd be used to it by now!

wetmonkey442 - March 7, 2005 07:47 PM (GMT)
@Hunter, we shouldn't meet up with Nibordude and Duxburian just yet, mostly because they are about 2 miles away from us, and it is also a bit early in the story. We (my team), should probably fortify that abandoned elementary school before meeting them.

Leprekan - March 7, 2005 08:27 PM (GMT)
Leprekan, practically reading wetmonkey's mind, proceeded to somehow produce a small skateboard (I told you he does this sort of thing a lot), fire one of his grappling hooks into a window, and pull himself toward the school at a surprising speed. unfortunately, he did not know how to stop the winding mechanism on the grappling hook, and thus smashed directly into a wall. He soon regained his wit and began to rappel (sp?) up the wall and deftly slide in through the now broken window.
"This high enough?" he shouted to the others. "wow, this place rocks! hey, is that a laptop? Dude! oh wait, it has no hard drive... dammit!"
