Title: Wetmonkey442
Description: THE Monkey of Online Soakerdom

wetmonkey442 - February 27, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
Hwne I joined WWN in May of 2003, I'm sure that i raised almost no eyebrows. Wetmonkey442? Doesn't sound like anything memorable. And, in fact, it wasn't. No one paid any attention to me. i was just another noob with basic quetions, and a strong sense of curiosity. My posts were nothing to be excited about, I used good grammar, and misspelled words sometimes, and really only replied to topics, and did not start that many myself. I think that the first thing any member from the original WWN will tell you that they remember about me was the 2700. The CPS 2700 was my trademark. I was one of the few members at the time to hail the CPS 2700 as my favorite soaker. It was my avatar, my profile, and the subject of half my topics. I was known ro strongly stand up for the 2700, and that is probably what people remember first about me. Then came the Ultimate War story. In the second WWN, this helped people to recognize me as the kid who wrote that HUMONGOUS story. Now, I had a trademark soaker, and something for people to recognize me by. A thread was started at WWN about our names, and why we chose them, what other people thought of them etc. Everyone said my name was random, and the numbers useless. I vicously argued back about the actual point of the name, and that the numbers had a secret signifigance. Though this didn't help people to like me (It probably annoyed them), it did help to spread my name throughout the community. By the time the second WWN collapsed, I was well known. i had already joined SSC a while back, and not taking a liking to the iSF, I decided to spend most of ym time there. I then stopped visiting anything water warfare related online for most of the fall. When I joined again, things seemed a lot different, and there were tons of new members. All of the newbies scared me, and I found recluse in the newly formed Soaker Media forums, where some veterans and semi-veteran's had apparently taken shelter as well.

Just posted this at SSC. Seems like a good addition to what I hjave written already.
My name is wetmonkey. I am a part of the Howler family of monkey's though some ay I look a bit like a baboon (comes from my mom's side). I came across the water warfare community in late 2002 and joined up on the original WWN in spring 2003, along with my jungle friend, the leprekan. I revolutionized the water warfare industry in 2003 by showing everyone that a primate can also hold and correctly operate a super soaker (my opposable toes made quadruple wielding extremely easy.)
In my spare time, I enjoy finding bigger trees and climbing them with the Leprekan. He doesn't like heights much and stays in the lower levels. We also like to antagonize the other animals in the jungle by reminding them just how unbelievably un evolved they are compared to us. The rest of our time is spent between learning karate (him tang soo do, me, tae kwon do) and attempting to remember the location of his pot of gold (he forgot where he put in when he was at the tender age of 8).
I occasionally pop onto SSC to challenge Doom's rules of spelling and grammar, and see what's going on in the worlds largest water warfare forum. I am currently a moderator at SoakerMedia (Why they hired a primate, I have no idea), and am enjoying my experience.
I enjoy being with humans, and am often amused at their attempts at etiquette and manners (you can't expect much from organisms that originated in caves, but my level of patience is extraordinary).

As any of the more veteran members at SSC and the iSoaker forums can tell you, my weapon of choice on the battlefield is the crazy colored edition of the CPS 2700. I enjoy annoying my opponents my highlighting it's details with hot pink and neon green.

That's pretty much all you need to know about me. You'll find that every now and then I'll disappear for a few weeks. This is due to the fact that I need to get a new battery for my wireless lap top. No electricity in the jungle!

Soak On

By the way, the leprekan is a member, he just doesn't post much. I bet you guys forgot about him!

Also: This post was spell checked, Doom. Don't fret!

I should post something like this about me...but I'm feeling lazy right now...maybe an admin should put all the introduction into one stickied topic...
