Summer's almost over, and senior year is beginning. Brooke said goodbye to Lucas after Haley invited her to go on tour with her, Chris Keller and Fall Out Boy. The two girls had a blast, and even Brooke is now well known since Haley pulled the girl up on stage and made her sing with her. Now they have to go back to Tree Hill where their lives are still waiting for them. But when Brooke goes to her apartment, it starts to burn right in front of her, leaving the girl homeless. Karen invites Brooke to stay with her, while Peyton offers Haley a place to stay, not telling the girl that she’s been dating Nathan. When Haley finds out, she decides to move out of Peyton’s place and finding her own. Lucas was so sad when both his best friend and the girl he wanted to be with left town. It left the blonde lonely and spending more time with other people over those three months. Lucas starts to date someone else, but when Brooke comes back and he sees her again after all these months, old feelings erupt again. Nobody knew if and when the girls were coming back. Nathan had signed the annulment papers and when Haley got them because Dan Scott brought them to her personally, she decided to let Nathan go. She didn't know if she was going back, and she couldn't keep the guy on a leash. Nathan and Peyton had been spending a lot of time together. They decide to try it again together since both have changed, but then Haley shows up at Nathan's door, wanting to explain and wanting to try again with him, but Peyton answers the door in her bathrobe. The two lovebirds made plans to go and live together and even get married, but when will they reveal it to the world? Lucas decides to spend more time with Brooke, which makes his new girlfriend jealous. She starts to see other guys behind his back. But what happens when Brooke sees the girl with a guy one night and sees that she is cheating on Lucas? Will she tell him the truth? Will he believe her? Or will he think she’s jealous and lying? Then lastly, we have daddy Jagielski. Last we knew, he headed off to Savannah. Well, he still is, and when he comes back, he learns that Peyton is with someone else. He moves on and starts to date Brooke secretly. They decide not to tell anyone because there is enough going on as it is. Then Lucas catches them kissing. He confronts Brooke about it, telling her what he saw, but will Brooke tell Lucas what she saw his girlfriend do? This is not how any of them had imagined to start their senior year...

Lucas Scott had to get his life back after the two girls he cared about the most left town together. He has been dating his new girlfriend for a few weeks now and things seem to be going okay, but he's not sure if it can work between them. She starts to hang out with Jake alot and it turns into a secret affair. After being caught by Lucas, he talks to her about it. Will she tell him what she saw his girlfriend do with other guys? Haley and Peyton's friendship goes downhill, but Peyton tries to save it. What happens when Haley wants Brooke to kick Peyton off the team because she annoys the hell out of her? And when an ex-boyfriend of Peyton comes to town, Haley decides to date him to spite the blonde, not knowing he’s a psycho. What will happen when Nathan has to save Haley from that guy?
Nathan Scott has divorced Haley James and started to date Peyton Sawyer again. He decided to take another chance with the blonde, since it didn't work out before because he was an ass. Nathan's not sure if he still wants to be friends with Haley, since she hurt him so. Nathan and Peyton are secretly engaged, but can they keep the rings hidden? Of course, when Peyton tries to warn Haley about her ex-boyfriend, she doesn’t listen. When Lucas tells Peyton about Brooke and Jake, Peyton sees them together and gets jealous. Apparently, her feelings towards Jake are still there, and stronger than ever. Will Peyton go after Brooke’s boyfriend yet again?
Jake Jagielski has come back to Tree Hill yet again and gets a new girlfriend too. He’s glad to be with someone like Brooke Davis, though, he’d never thought he’d date someone like her. He seems to be quite okay with Peyton Sawyer and Nathan Scott dating, until Peyton sees Jake with Brooke and gets jealous. What happens when Peyton shows up at Jake’s door and kisses him?
