With the return of Xavier, the students at the school have hope again. They have their leader back once more, though they still feel the loss of Scott Summers and Jean Grey. A loss like that will never heal like it should. They can only hope that life will get better for them. The students at Xavier's school for Gifted Youngsters continue their lives, and work on controlling their powers, while dealing with the loss of people close to them.

The Brotherhood has to deal with something totally different, they have no leader anymore, and no one to step into his place. Both Magneto and Mystique have lost their powers, and are no longer associated with the Brotherhood. Someone will have to step up soon, before the chaos gets to be to much.



Many got the cure, hoping that they could once again live the normal lives they once had. But they were sadly mistaken, as slowly they start to notice the return of their powers, some quicker then others. Magneto being one of the ones having his powers return fast. Sooner or later he may be able to step back in as the leader of the Brotherhood, that is if they will accept him back. Even Mystique is starting to get her powers back, but she doesn’t plan to return to Magneto.

Some mutants, like Rogue, have yet to notice any return of their powers. But with time, it is very possible that the cure that suppressed her mutant gene will stop working, and the gene will resurface, along with her powers. The world may once again become a scary place when mutants start to get their powers back, all around the same time.



Everyone, including Xavier himself, believe that the once great man, Scott Summers, was killed by The Phoenix. But what they don't know, was at the last moment, Jean Grey had resurfaced, stopping what she had been doing. Scott blacked out from the pain that she had caused him, and then reawaken weeks later in a hospital in the area. After being released from the hospital, Scott makes his way back to his home, back to Xavier's School.

Jean, herself, lays in a eternal sleep within the grounds of the School. But a Phoenix is never dead for long...
