How could you know?
Why would you care?
I'm losing control
Are you getting scared?

I'm making new friends
And we're making out
We're gonna pretend
That we're taking everything yeah

Everyone knows that when you live in a small town... that's just it. Everyone knows. If you go through a messy breakup in the morning, you'll have half the people in the town giving their sorries before noon. Word travels that fast. Some say that even the mothers aren't first to find out that their pregnant. If you try to hide something, you'll haev no sucess with it. The rumor mill runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty-two weeks a year with no breaks... ever.

They don't know about us
Everyone's asleep when we play
Yeah, the kids are all fucked up

Now it's too late to go
It's getting light out
I know you don't wanna
Sleep here alone
Just take it easy

Thus we come to Needles, California, tiny town about two hours outside of Las Vegas, nestles quietly on the Colorado River. Life is liesurely, the pace isn't as fast as in the big cities, and... well, there is no privacy whatsoever. Not to mention that the school's got a reputation for producing terrible kids. Sure, most of them do keep at least a 3.7 GPA, but there is a lot that teachers and parents don't know about these students. Of course, they think their children are innocent little angels. But they're so wrong. Oh so wrong. With drugs, alchohol and sex lingering in the air practically everywhere you go, it's hard to imagine people so oblivious to it all. The theory? Parents do know, they just refuse to believe. If their kid is going to a party, they automatically assume it's a well mannered party. Wrong again. This is just the rock and roll lifestyle.

So leave us alone
When we're riding high
Mister police
Ain't hurting no one

The city's asleep
And the world is mine
We hide and go seek
And you know they'll never, never, ever find us

Even within the school, where most would believe that things are under control, there is still dealing going on. Practically everyone in the school knows someone who knows someone who is a meth dealer. You just have to look in the right place. But be careful who you trust, you never know when your deepest darkest secrets would be at rick of exposure to the world. There are the few who just don't give a damn, however. They're the one's of higher status withing the highschool, like the queen bee, the number one whore of the school.

They don't know about us
Everyone's asleep when we play
Yeah the kids are all fucked up

Now it's too late to go
It's getting light out
I know you don't wanna
Sleep here alone
Just take it easy

When you grow up in a place where your secrets aren't secrets anymore, you can swing one of two ways. Way number one? You don't care anymore. If you're going to party, you party. If you're going to drink, you do it like the fish. And if you're going to sleep around, you do it in the dressing room of one of the only three shops in town. You become blatantly obvious about everything you do, because you've lost the ability to care what anyone thinks anymore. The second way? You rebel. When everyone knows more about your personal life than you do, you just don't care what anyone thinks anymore. The parents who do know, simply think it's pety teen drama. Nah. That's too simple, and not nearly dramatic enough. This is their lives: deep, exposed, and honest.

Now it's too late to go
It's getting light out
I know you don't wanna
Sleep here alone

The world is fading
I'm here with you
If you start shaking
I'll get you through it
Don't worry about anything
Just take it easy

Come and join the kids of Needles, and try not to get tangled in the webs woven throughout the town. There's sex, drugs, parties-- lying, cheating stealing-- love and loss, tears and laughter-- it's all here. We all know what it's like to survive these years, so come and show how far, deep down, our "petty" teen dramas really delve.

It's too late to go
It's getting light out
I know you don't wanna
Sleep here alone
Just take it easy

Now it's too late to go
It's getting light out
I know you don't wanna
Sleep here alone
Just take it easy
