Silent Dragonet - December 28, 2005 08:19 AM (GMT)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Location: Northeast
Theme: Anywhere Is - Enya

Limera is Poseidon Empires’ trading port city, the second largest city on the Poseidon Empires mainland with a wall to protect it. The basic shape of the city is of a thick crescent moon and located on the Limera Bay, which is located in the upper portion of the Wyst Coast (see attachment). Getting into the bay is restricted naturally by the peninsula that curves almost completely around the bay, leaving only enough space for three large ships to enter at the same time, assuming the sailors can maneuver the ship like an expert. It is best not to sail into or out of the Limera Bay during a storm unless it’s an emergency. The residents and workers of Limera manage the bay.

The bay area is composed of piers and docks as well as three ship factories, the best one located on the far southeast portion of the bay. Along the coasts are mostly buildings where foreign items, seafood, sea products, and ship items are sold, traded, or auctioned. There are about six different streets leading into the bay area. The one of the farthest north, Creation Lane, leads to the streets were most of the factories are located that make necessary products for not only Limera, but for the rest of the Poseidon Empires. The style in Limera is a mixture of multiple races and the Human culture is more predominant here while the second is the Aquanaut culture. To find Aquanaut clothing and weapons, it’s better to go in to the sea. Though, Aquanaut based clothing is not hard to find in Limera. The next street is known as Stone Street, where mostly weapons, armor, tools, and the like are sold, traded, or auctioned. Third is known as Essen Avenue where mostly magical items, potions, medicine, and robes are sold, traded, or auctioned. Fourth is known as Venus Boulevard, where mostly clothes, jewelry, and other accessories are sold, traded, or auctioned. Fifth is known as Comia Street where mostly food and cooking products are sold, traded, or auctioned. Finally, the sixth street is known as Golden Pathway where mostly guilds would gather to sell, trade, or auction unwanted items. This street is also a part of the Guild District.

Those were just the vertical streets leading from the harbor to the other end of the city. The vertical streets make a total of twelve long main streets in the entire city; not counting the harbor that is plainly called “the harbor.” The first vertical street that is clothes to the harbor is Zelia Avenue where a couple of inns and many houses are located. Most of these houses belong to the families that have family members working in the harbor or manage ships. The next street, Tunis Drive is one half houses with the other half belong to the Guild District and where guildhalls are set up. There is also a hospital on this street. After that is Benta Road, which is much like Tunis Drive in that it is one half houses while the other half part of the Guild District except most of the small schools are located on Benta Road as well. Then it is Ares Boulevard, which is also mostly houses with one half part of the Guild District. Almost at the east side now is Oaken Road, where it is mostly a few less popular shops and houses. Finally, the street farthest to the east side of the city and where the mainland gate is located is Callaway Lane where a few inns and bars are located as well as homes belong to the poorest residents of Limera.

For the most part, the city is crowded just about every day and gets even worse on holidays. Nonetheless, it’s a lovely place to visit and has a good strong traditional yet mixed culture feel to it. The city is kept pretty clean, but it may be hard to tell with how fast it becomes dirty again. Crime rate here is relatively high, especially since it’s so crowded and full of item from far and wide. Riots are bound to happen, people claiming this or that. There are even scams occurring left and right so Limera is not the safest place to be, but can be an enjoyable experience if everything goes right.

Harbor - Harbor
Directions: Farthest West
NPC's: Guards, Fisherman, Sailors, Shipbuilders, Fish Vendors, etc.

The harbor is pretty large and one of the most crowded sectors of Limera. At the point where the beach starts is where all the fish vendors and fish auctioneers are located. Going to the northern area of the bay is where two of the three ship factories can be found, the one farthest from the actual city and closest to the Limera Peninsula happens to be not only the largest but more famous for its efficiency, affordable prices, and reliable service. It’s neighboring competitor is quite a distance away from it and almost right next to the city; it does produce some good boats with low prices but they don’t make any large sea vessels. On the southern side of the bay is a factory that mainly makes its money on selling ship parts, not actual ships. It does have its own ship factory adjoined to it on the west side. However, most people prefer to purchase or rent ships and boats from the two factories across the bay.

Guild District - Guild District
Directions: Farthest South (Golden Pathway, Tunis Street, Benta Road, Ares Boulevard)
NPC's: Guards, Guild Administration Officers, and guildsman of various guilds
The Guild District is like all the other areas of Limera, crowded and full of activity. People would come here to join guilds or start up their own, but to be registered they must pay a hefty price and prove their worth on what is considered a simple mission. When registered, the guild is allowed to purchase their own hall and a shop as well as receiving missions from the Guild Administration Office. Most guilds here were set up by adventurous folk looking for fun, but some have managed to create legends of themselves and go down in history. Other guilds have been set up by people with certain interests or shared views. These guilds can get a guildhall, but most chose to only rent one when they need it. One particular guild here is the Reaf S’Eripme, an organization set up to overthrow the empire. To prevent any trouble, they registered under a different name and partake in the same things most other adventurous guilds in order to earn more members, items, and experience as well as money.
Guild Administration Office (At the corner of Benta Road and Golden Pathway)
Welcome to the Guild District! Please register in order to either purchase or rent a guildhall, to rent or purchase a spot in the trading/selling area. For selling and trading, a vending stall is for rent and a shop is permanent until the guild disbands. For the guildhall, you can purchase any of your choosing and decorate it as you wish as long as the guild does not disband while for rent you are give a certain guild hall for rent that we suggest you do not decorate as we will remove all items that remain inside after your renting period is over. When a guild disbands we asked that you please notify us. Also, registering allows you to go on missions arranged by us, the Guild Administration Office of Limera, and arrange guild wars. We hope you have fun and follow the rules. Thank you and good day.
- Guild Administration Office Rules:
1. You are not allowed to conspire against any government organization may it be this country or any others.
2. You are not allowed to form anti groups of any sort, even if the subject is something that many would agree is sinful.

Wind Surfer’s Guildhall - Guildhall
Directions: Farthest south corner of Tunis Street
NPC's: Reaf S'Eripme's members
This guildhall is supposedly run by the Wind Surfers guild but really belongs to an underground organization of multiple races that is conspiring against the empire. They all share a common hatred for the current ruler, but the organization is segregated into groups who believe one thing to groups who believe in another. They have joined together solely because they believe it is better if they have more people on their side. This is a very old organization that has been formed since the ruling period of Hwi Tian (Tian II). A few of its former leaders of have been capturing and some were eventually forced to confess details. However, the organization is pretty large and has managed to scatter when needed or even commit suicide. The Aquanauts of the group is either a member of Maura’s cult or have a dislike for mixing in with other races. Both halves will defend the nation when it’s in peril, but will turn it’s back on it immediately once that peril is over. For the remaining members of other races, it varies. The guild is decorated based on the guild colors and symbol.
Guild Colors: White and blue
Guild Symbol: A large white sail with two horizontal blue lines near the bottom
Guild Members: 100,000+

Wind Surfer's Guild Shop - Guild Shop
Directions: Two shops east of the harbor (Golden Pathway)
NPC's: One to three of the Reaf S'Eripme's Merchants
This guild shop is the size of a medium sized store, selling various items either purchased or found by guild members and whoever happens to sell or trade to the shop. It looks neat and orderly with reasonable prices and helpful merchants. This is due to the fact that they have to be friendly but not too friendly to avoid suspicions. The shop does fairly well in business but not as well as other guild shops that may partake in more missions. The front of the shop is decorated based on the guild colors and symbol.
Guild Colors: White and blue
Guild Symbol: A large white sail with two horizontal blue lines near the bottom

Occasionally, she sounds young yet appears old and vice versa. She can speak Modern Zelphanese, Kenjikan, Moensaudi (Ancient Aquanican), and Yalusyu (Modern Celestial Language). She also supposedly speaks an unknown language but most assume it is mere gibberish.
*= Ain’s an Unknown Celestial who seems to be mixed in culture and normally appears human. Not a lot of people are supposed to know the Unknown Celestial part, but I put this here for the strong psychic characters.

Seer Ain's shop is a rather small and crowded heavily decorated with the color purple with strong scents of orchids wistfully float out of the shop and into the streets. Those not used to such a strong smell might even feel suffocated under all the fumes. The shop sells a variety of magical items that can be the most common to the most rare. She also offers fortunes and other services that most do not take seriously. None of her good fortunes normally come true but her unlucky fortunes have a very high rate of being carried out so most are happy with a good fortune because they no nothing (good and bad) will happen to them.

Guards are a must around this inn, and the service is excellent. Though, the staff here is not the most friendly, as long as there is money to spare. The guests almost never see the old couple except when they first enter, having the staff deal with most of the problems that occur.

Mercury Inn - Inn
Directions: At the Corner of Callaway Lane and Essen Avenue
NPC's: Another old wealthy human couple, Cook, Cook’s assistant, and 6 Maids
A large jade four-story inn that is also favored among the wealthy. Like the Limera Inn, it’s like a giant mansion with exotic furniture and elegant décor but with a different sense of style. It is the Limera Inn’s rival, and the two are constantly trying to outdo the other. For the most part, people would say they are even in rank unless it was based on personal taste. The staff here is much like that in the Limera Inn as are the owners. It is also heavily guarded.

Rooms & Fees:
500 G+

Callaway Inn - Inn
Directions: Next to the Limera Gate on the southern side on Callaway Lane
NPC's:  Young human male and female owners
This inn is popular among newcomers that enter through the main gate, as it is right next to it. The inn is somewhat small and offers no food, but there is a tavern a bit north of it, next to the north side of the gate. There are also a few small bars and restaurants that are scattered about here and there on Callaway Lane and nearby streets. The young couple that runs this inn are friendly and happy to help anyone by allowing discounts if they notice a person is incredibly sick or wounded. Some even get a room for free.
Rooms & Fees:
250 G

Zelia Inn - Inn
Directions: At the corner of Zelia Avenue and Creation Lane
NPC's:  Human male owner, Cook, and 3 Maids
The inn is not much bigger than Gentle Waters but charge slightly more than it’s competitor. Also, most people who live here seem to work in the factory or deliver supplies to the factories by any form of transportation except by sea vessels. The service here is not as dedicated as in Gentle Waters but they provide basically the same stuff. Visitors tend to favor it more though simply because it does not stink as often as Gentle Waters.
Rooms & Fees:
250 G

Gentle Waters - Inn
Directions: At the corner of Zelia Avenue and Venus Boulevard
NPC's: Aquanaut female owner, Cook, and 3 Maids
Gentle Waters is a popular rather large inn among sailors and fisherman who don’t have homes. It is cheap but lovely place to stay that has excellent service. The place often starts to smell like dead fish or unwashed bodies however, which makes the place unattractive to most other guests. Though, the workers try their best to rid the building of the smell, it always comes back.
Rooms & Fees:
200 G

The Sea Shell - Tavern
Directions: Next to the Limera Gate on the northern side on Callaway Lane
NPC's: Human male bartender and Human waitress who are bilingual in Modern Zelphanese and Enuasaudi (Modern Aquanician)
A small bar that is popular among the locals and newcomers as it is the closest to the main gate. The bar is normally dark inside, even in daylight due to the fact that it has only one lamp in the center of the main room and three small windows with one window on either side of the front door and the other on the south wall. There is another window on the north side of the building but that lets light into the backroom. It is run by a quiet human male and sexy but rude human woman. They both prefer to speak Modern Zelphanese except when in front of unwanted company, which they then pretend to not understand a word of it and only speak Enuasaudi (modern Aquanician). For most of the latest news and rumors, it is easier to find them here . . . for a price.

Drake - March 11, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
The evening mist was light, and when the small Clipper penetrated into the opened bay, the trading center Limera came into view. The pennisula of the city was heavily guarded, with Aquanacian soldiers. The ship was stopped at a mid-way point.

"Halt!"

There was a tense peace that lasted a few minutes.

"OKay, move along."

The Clipper continued it's voyage into the bay, and into the main harbor of Limera. It was a very busy city, but it didn't rival Ivendell. The Clipper found a wharf, and stopped. The sailor muttered some words in Mortikanian that Drake dismissed, before getting off the ship.

"Ah..so this is Limera?"

Aman - March 11, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
Walking up to the gates was a well dressed man, or at least he would be if his suit wasn't so torn to shit. He looked like a business man, and his face was clean but he had some stubble. His finger was in his nose because he had an itch and he had to get at it, stepping up to the main gate. He withdrew his finger and grimaced, flicking it off to the side before saying hello.

"Shalom, what's up my armored friends? I'd like passage if you would, I'm a very busy man. I don't really have time for idle chit chat," he sounded a lot like a joker and his tone was what some might call 'asshole-ish'.

"Yeah buddy, you can't just come out of nowhere and show up here, get the eff out before I break your face," one of the guards sneered as he crossed his arms.

"Suit yourself," then the strange man ran up and jumped, planting a firm foot on the guard's face before jumping high and scaling the wall, landing on the top so he had a fair view of the city. "I hate idiots, always wasting my time, where is that young king at.."

The man withdrew a small circular object that glowed with an odd light, it seemed to have a flashing blue dot on its screen. Standing up, the well dressed fella' jumped down onto a roof and then jumped again, grabbing a rope from a clothesline and sliding down to the ground. Firmly planted, he brushed himself off and loosened his tie a little, sliding his hands into his pockets and beginning his stroll into town.

Drake - March 11, 2006 10:25 PM (GMT)
Drake shoved his hands into his robe pockets, watching his boat sit idly in the harbor. What to do, what to do? He was in Limera to rest, but he felt pressured to look around and see the sights. He was always moving, looking for things to do and people to help. Drake was desperately in need of good-points. He was tired of being a Squire.

"Hm.." Drake pondered as he headed down Zeila Avenue. He was bored to tears, and looking at the city was not much help. Why didn't anything interesting ever happen when he was around? Why was he cursed to have boredom trail him through the planet? It made no sense!

Silent Dragonet - March 11, 2006 11:00 PM (GMT)
Alfred Penston stood awaiting the Serdian King's arrival. His father, Wallace Penston that was otherwise known as "the mayor", was busy with the numerous and practically endless cases of robberies that he could not afford to live the mansion, located on Benta Road. So Wallace sent his son instead to great and escort the king along with the numerous guards, most of which were human due to the flooding of the underwater cities.

Alfred was impatiently waiting in a large white carriage that had two brown magnificent horses in the front with a human driver, dressed in a simple brown suit. On more fancy occasions, every one of them and their belongs would be much more extravagant, but that was not wise in broad daylight of a city where one push or shove could send a person in the mud or whatever other mess was lying around.

"I know father said he would be traveling around the continent, but should he be here by now? Stupid Serdians or whatever they are, a waste of my time," muttered the mayor's son.

One of the guards then noticed a man who appeared about the age of seventeen in a jade robe walking towards Zelia Avenue. He thought back to what he was told earlier and whisper to the guard next to him. A chain was then created until finally the closest guard to the carrige whispered, "Sir, I believe that man who just walked into Zelia Avenue was the Serdian King."

Alfred was not pleased, not pleased at all. He whistled to his driver and told him to quickly go down Zelia Avenue after a man in a green robe. Now the driver did not like this and new the people would not like it either, but all the more reason why he would not end up being the next mayor so off the driver went. The horses neighed loudly at the sudden quick movement of the reins and charged forth while the gathering of people hastely parted to get out of the way.

Elsewhere at the Limera Gate, some guards were sent to chase after a nicely dressed man. The guard who had came into contact with the man's foot was one of them, not seeing anything wrong with his own behavior and only set out to put the trespasser in jail. And so another rackus was started on the other side of the city, though not as much as a big deal since seeing guards run about was a common sight. Sometimes it was even comical and led to people gahtering to watch.

Aman - March 11, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
Taking a look over his shoulder, he sighed in disgust, now he'd have to be quick about it. He started running down the street at a sprint, somewhere down Comia Road, where plenty of food courts were set up, perfect, he thought. His movements were like a bird's and he dodged each of the stalls with ease, noticing the guards having trouble, but as he moved, he suddenly ran into a burly body. Falling backward, doing a backflip and landing, he looked up at his road block, a large and heavily armored guard. He knew he wouldn't have much time before the others showed up, and he regretted doing this but he withdrew his black steel sword, handed down in generations of his family. Grinning, he acted as though he were to duel the guard and thus, the guard held out his sword.

"A'ight chowder head, listen, I really don't have time for games so, I'm sorry for this," after his last word resonated from his lips, he launched forward quickly. He then sidestepped and jumped off a wall, swinging the broad side of his sword and smashing it against the guard's helmet. The clanking sound rang out as the guard fell with a loud thud and an OWW!

"Pathetic," he said as he placed his sword back in the sheathe under his arm, running into an alley and jumping up, landing on a roof and moving over each roof in large bounds. He looked at his circular object again and nodded as he jumped down into Zeila Avenue.

"All right compadre, where are you..?"

Drake - March 11, 2006 11:13 PM (GMT)
Drake took notice of the carriage trailing him. It was a little annoying. Couldn't he go anywhere without being followed by high officials? The young king quickly took up in a sprint, in an attempt to elude the the carriage. His feet felt light on the stone, as he hurried down the street. Quick, quicker, and quickest was all that was on his mind. He had no time to think. But before he could comply, Drake felt himself slam into another being, and he was on the ground at once.

"Ah..ooh..who the hell is it..?"

Silent Dragonet - March 11, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
When Drake had fell on the ground, the driver pulled at the reins and the horses abruptly stopped. Alfred had his head sticking out of the carriage window and was unfortunately bumped into the side of it, causing a great pain on his neck. He cursed and he cursed loudly, and the people around him began to whisper about with looks of great disproval. The guards however remain silent until Alfred hopped out of the carriage and stomp toward their foregin visitor.

Aman - March 11, 2006 11:25 PM (GMT)
Stumbling a little, the semi-well dressed man, glanced down at Drake and made a smug smirk.

"Ahh, here we are! The king of Serdio is now present and all those presiding! And some other person, whatever," his words sounded again, like an arrogant prick. He held out his hand to Drake and helped him up.

"Nice to meet you your majesty, I was hoping we could talk in private, but it seems we've got some company, are they friends of your's?" In the background, he could hear the stampeding of foot soldiers, undoubtedly they would be on him soon. He was a little worried, but he could take care of it if it came to what he though it would.

Drake - March 11, 2006 11:31 PM (GMT)
Drake nodded his thanks to the well dressed gentleman, before scrubbing the dust off his robes. He swelled with joy at the mention of his title. Despite being modest, even Drake enjoyed when he was recognized as being the king of Serdio - even if that country was under the dark banner now.

"The pleasure is all mine," Drake stated. "but please, tell me who you might be? And those guys back there? No, I don't know them. To be honest, I have no idea why they might be following me. No matter, though. What do you want to discuss?"

Silent Dragonet - March 11, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
The soldiers following Alfred were not to assist him but to stop him from doing anything stupid like punch the king of Serdio. As Alfred was more of a man who just sits down and orders people around, it was not hard before two of the guards grabbed hold of his arms and pulled him back while the other guards following him bowed. It was then the driver to stepped off his seat to humbly greet the young king and who apparently was his friend with a low bow.

"I'm terribly sorry for my master's actions," the driver began. "He was simply sent her by his father, Mayor Wallace Penston of Limera, to greet and escort you around the city. If you wish, we will leave you now or escort you to a more suitable setting. Oh, and my name is Thomas Hansworth, it is nice to meet you sir."

Aman - March 11, 2006 11:45 PM (GMT)
"Uhhh, yeah, that's cool. My name is Raven Rouge Demynandria, and I'm.. It doesn't really matter, what does matter is that young Drake here needs to have a one on one conversation with me, got some things to discuss. A nicer setting would be awesome and uh, I'd appreciate it if the guard dogs wouldn't have to... Let's forget about that part, where else could we possibly go?" He smiled largely, trying to hide that he was being pursued currently. His hands were a little sweaty but his arms were crossed now so it was hard to tell he was slightly nervous.

Drake - March 11, 2006 11:48 PM (GMT)
"Come on, then." Drake said, ignoring the butler. He was much more interested in this Raven. "There should be a bar around here somewhere, we can get a drink, eh?"

Drake only turned back to the struggling child known as Alfred, being restrained by the guards. He stuck his tongue out at him jokingly. Aristocratic pretty-boys annoyed him.

"Why don't you try to play with me when your more grown up?" Drake said with a chuckle, turning back to Raven.

"Now then..shall we go find that bar now?"

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 12:02 AM (GMT)
Thomas raised an eyebrow at the young king's choice to ignore him, he hoped he was not like the mayor's son. He couldn't handle another brat, especially not one with power. Well, at least, one who had power and could possibly get it back. Anyhow, he turned around to Alfred and smile apologeticly as he advise the young master to go home and get some rest. Alfred was about to say something but as he was not fully aware of the crowd, he decided to take the higher road and leave as his butler suggest. One of the guards took over Thomas's seat and took Alfred home, who was not very much angered and shall complain to his father even though his father almost never listens to him.

Turning back to the two men, with a few guards still behind him at a distance, he politely smiled and offered some of his advise.

"I don't think it's best to go to a bar, especially the not the Sea Shell," he said.

"It is pretty known for gathering rumors and private information alike. However, if you still wish to go, it is right next to the Limera Gate on the north or your-would-be left side of the gate. I can tell the guards to leave you two alone . . ." He paused a bit before continuing, considering Raven's words, "but I think it's better if you had someone to show you around. I will leave as well if that is what you want sir."

That last bit was addressed to Drake. Thomas now had one hand placed behind, ready to direct the guards or temporary dismiss them. He may just be a servant of the mayor, but he was a well known man who had much influence on people when he was younger.

Aman - March 12, 2006 12:07 AM (GMT)
Walking over to the butler man, Raven slid right over and put his arm on his shoulder, the smell of some fancy alcohol on his breath, he whispered in his ear.

"Hey bud, I think a ride would be cool, I'm not exactly in the mood for walking, help me and the boy out, would yah?" Nodding, Raven stepped away from him and crossed his arms, leaning against a wall.

"But I mean, if that isn't an option, you could always walk us to wherever this place is, I'm not good with directions," chuckling, he spat on the ground and brushed at his clothes a little, his sword clanking against the wall.

Drake - March 12, 2006 12:11 AM (GMT)
Drake nodded. This Raven amused him greatly. He was different compared to the various nobles he was used to being around, with their money and clothes. Raven was what Drake knew as an actual aristocrat. He dressed nicely, but he also seemed to know how to fight, which was a very good thing. He continued to watch the conversation between the butler and Raven, too bored by it to pay much mind.

"I guess a nicer bar would be nice, up near the gate.."

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
Thomas nodded his head at Raven's wish and motioned for one of the guards to come over. He whispered to the guard, telling him to find a suitable but plain carriage to escort the men. He also mentioned that there doesn't need to be a driver, and that he must be quick about it. Then he told the others guards to leave except for two that would leave later.

"Actually, any bar is not so nice," the butler said, a hint of amusement in his tone. "But I guess the Sea Shell it is then, less chance of a sudden riot."

Shortly after, the guard returned with a simple brown carriage that could hold about four people and very little luggage. There was one chestnut color horse upfront and no driver. Thomas dimissed the remaining guards, waved the people to carry on, and opened a door for the two men.

Drake - March 12, 2006 12:26 AM (GMT)
Taking notice that Raven had walked off for god knows why, Drake shrugged. Such odd people.

"I wish to meet your leader. Is that possible?"

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 12:29 AM (GMT)
Also noticing Raven's leave, Thomas once again rasied an eyebrow at him. People who has seen him do that consider it more a twitch, either to hold back anger or laughter. In this case, most likely anger. After a few minutes, he responded, "Define "leader," sir."

Drake - March 12, 2006 12:34 AM (GMT)
"Your monarch, of course. Empress? Queen? Sultana? Princess? Grand Duchess? Khana? Tsarina? Kaiserine? Rani? It doesn't matter. I want to meet her." Drake said.

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 12:40 AM (GMT)
"Well, I guess "Empress" is a workable title, though most who do not want to say the whole title simply just refer to has a "Lady," Alfred informed him. "But either is fine as "Vogan Vizu" simply means "Imperial Lady." Except when they use the Aquanician term, because the word that means "Lady" in Enuasaudi is generally used to refer to the princess of the country. There has yet to be one though in all of Poseidon Empires' years so their has yet to be any confusion."

"In anycase, you can see her after you send a word and recieve a reply. I'm not sure if they make an exception for you to just accept you inside without some sort of notice beforehand," he said.

Drake - March 12, 2006 12:42 AM (GMT)
"Send word then, please? I came here to meet her..well, to see her. We've been friends for as long as I've known." Drake stated.

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
"Really now? I'll have to call one of the guards to do so, I'll be right back," he told him, not believing the "friend" part. In any case he has left Drake alone for the time being to search for a nearby guard. One would think this should not be hard, but the guards always seem to never be there when they are needed and there when they are not wanted.

Drake - March 12, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
Drake shrugged and waited patiently.

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
A few minutes later, Thomas returned to where Drake was and bowed once more. He stood next to the carriage and motioned for Drake to get in. It was better to wait at an Inn than oustide.

"The reply shall take awhile to come, I suggest you stay at an inn until tell," he advised him. "I'll take you to whichever one you wish to go to; there are five in this city. Take your pick: Gentle Waters, Zelia Inn, Callaway Inn, Mercury Inn, and the Limera Inn. That last two are rather expensive while the first is popular among sailors and fisherman."

Drake - March 12, 2006 01:06 AM (GMT)
"Limera Inn sounds nice," He mused. "I have the money."

He got into the lofty carriage quickly.

"Limera has no trains? Esto Gaza and Ivendell have trains. Poseidon is so odd.."

Silent Dragonet - March 12, 2006 01:12 AM (GMT)
"Too much industrialization is frowned upon here, especially by our Lady," Thomas explained as he climbed onto the driver's seat. He got to horse to move a quick and controlled pace to the corner of Callaway Lane and Comia Road.

It took a few minutes, but eventually they reached the entrance to the Limera Inn. Thomas got of his seat and opened the door for Drake. He would leave as soon as Drake went inside.

"The reply will be sent the mayor and you will be notify when it comes, have a good day."

Drake - March 12, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
Drake thanked Thomas, and quickly exited the carriage. He entered the inn, got a room, and went off to rest until a reply was sent.

Drake - March 12, 2006 05:45 AM (GMT)
Drake rose, it was early morning. No reply, as of yet. He was tired of waiting. Exiting the room and checking out, Drake hastily left on the next boat to Ivendell, to go home. He had no time to dwaddle.

Drake - June 27, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
Trudging along the dirt road leading into the main gate of Limera was a myriad of traffic. Aside from the usual suspects--carts and coaches carrying packages for trade, there was one unusual vehicle traveling along the path. A large, wide carriage. Made of grandiose ash wood, and perfected with mahogany and cedar, it was truly a site to behold. Gilded colors clung to it--majestic purples, bright reds, and darkly greens. The carriage was pulled by two large white horses. They were of Rubera stock, athletic, with flowing brown manes and blond, nearly pale fur. Along the side of the carriage was a large gilded 'S' which wrapped around an 'R.' Any common traveler would dismiss the letters as folly, but the well educated would know that this carriage was a Serdian one, and within was a member of Rlugian dynasty.

Situated within the luxurious interior was indeed a Rlugian royal. It was Nadia, the dowager of Serdio. Her once blond locks had turned to a light gray, and the once fabulous court styles of Ploisy and Acenta were abandoned for more matronly dresses: long, and flowing, but still maintaining the dignity of a woman in widowhood. Nadia had a look of boredom upon her face. Of course it was not such: she was quite pleased to be in Serdio. But as an older woman, she was unable to show true pleasure upon her face except when she was truly happy. For now, stoic disdain would do.

"Madame, we're entering Limera now. Do you wish for me to pull back the curtains so you can see the city?" Asked Amalia, Nadia's loyal servant. She was a girl of twenty, poor, but devoted to her mistress, the Dowager. She was a Serdian, and as typical of the Serdian court (even in exile), she had been plucked from her village as a child and brought to the Queen, in Meria. This had all happened during the days of Terror, when the poor were willing to do whatever to save themselves--even if it meant giving up their children to Royalist agents, the very people they despised. Thus, whilst Amalia served Nadia, her parents were now living a comfortable life without worry.

"No, it's fine. I prefer the darkness in these times, so I can rest. There is much that must be done when Monsieur Leveur finds us a spot where the carriage can be deposited. However, if you wish to open the curtain, you may do so Amalia. Even you deserve some pleasure in life."

And so, Amalia did so. The curtain was thrown open, and light flooded the carriage. Nadia said nothing; but Amalia was greatly amazed by the site of the city, even though she had seen the world as a servant to the dowager.

((OOC: Crest right? I don’t know. Sorry for the wait. >_< I went more vague and less rambly than usual.))

Alfred Penston remained idle in his personal carriage as his family's butler, Thomas Hansworth, inspected the main gate... The very gate he was suppose to inspect, but he saw no point in it. This shouldn't be his job, this should other people's job. Why does he, a educated man with no knowledge over pointless things, be forced to do something like this lovely day? Thus, he order Thomas to take care of it. Thomas was all too glad to take care of it as Alfred rarely did a good job was such things. Although sometime caught his eye… A magnificent carriage, clearly bearing the signs of Serdian culture and the royal family’s crest, was within sight of the city. Although, Thomas doesn’t recall the mayor expecting any guests, and decided he should definitely not notify Alfred of this considering that last encounter with the Serdian King. No, he shall take care of this himself, but first… The son.

“Sir, I do believe we are finish here, why not take a ride around the city?” He suggested, gesturing to one of the guards to take the reins. “Relax and enjoy the rest of your day.”

Alfred didn’t notice the gesture and merely called a out, “Finally! You are too slow Thomas! Let’s move on now.”

The son didn’t even noticed that Thomas had not returned to the driver’s seat, standing firmly by the gate to await the arrival of the mysterious and sudden guest. He only hoped that Alfred wouldn’t be too much of a handful without him.

Drake - June 28, 2007 08:23 AM (GMT)
The carriage hurdled it's way slowly through the large gate, obstructed by the traffic that was merchant carts and coaches. The driver, Monsieur Leveur was an old skinny man. His nose was high, his frame weak, and his wig far too large and dripped in powder. He stuck out in Serdio, and in Poseidon looked absolutely batty. He however, was devoted to Nadia, and would serve her in any capacity possible--even as her driver.

"Move! Move! Hurry up, you bloated beings! I've got an important passenger, I can't sit here and wait for you to peddle your filthy bourgeois goods!"

Monsieur Leveur was also gifted with a large mouth, capable of spitting all sorts of insults out. He didn't give a damn about what any one thought, he merely did his duties, even if he preformed them without tact. The carriage swayed slightly as the carts began to move, to give the vast carriage some leeway to enter the city. Leveur smacked the horses ever so slightly as to move them along faster.

As the carriage moved, the curtains and satins within swayed only slightly, giving those on the city streets a brief glimpse of those inside the carriage--a well dressed older woman and her servant.

Silent Dragonet - June 28, 2007 05:06 PM (GMT)
Thomas gave a loud cough once the carriage had entered the city, still standing at the sidelines.

"Important passenger you say? If that's truly the case, I must inform the mayor, if that's alright," he called out, gesturing to another guard to give him a spare horse, it didn't matter what breed.

Thomas, despite his position, had a wide influence as he was a valued member of the community. His popular merely increases each time Alfred's decreases. Though, today may be that one time his popularity will go down since he took the role as a butler, as he let Alfred go off on his own with only a few guards to watch him. Hopefully, Alfred was too tired to do much today, in which people might not even realize he was there.

"May I inquire on who is this passenger?" Thomas asked, unaware of who exactly was in the carriage as he didn't get a good look at her face. He was much more educated on foreign countries than Alfred, who probably wouldn't realize who she was until someone bluntly told him the information.

Drake - July 12, 2007 11:40 PM (GMT)
"Who is the passenger? What are you, stiff? It's no one other than her majesty, the Queen Dowager of Serdio! She merely wanted some fresh ocean air to cure her ailing mind, if that's alright with you, Mr. I-must-ask-one-million-questions!"

Monsieur Leveur snorted slightly, when the butler stated he needed to contact the mayor. It was only after a gentle voice cautioned for him to stop the carriage, did Leuveur park the carriage in the nearest spot, allowing the dowager ability to alight from the carriage, which she did with grace, followed by Amalia. She approached the butler slightly, with a low bow of the formal style seen at Mystice in her heydey. Nadia stood as a relic of the old world, that majestic world that had been washed away by revolution. In a few seconds she rose, followed by her servant. She bowed her head low, only for a moment.

"I am Nadia Rlugia," She said smoothingly. "If you must contact the mayor, then you must do your duties. I will gladly meet with him."

Silent Dragonet - July 27, 2007 04:32 AM (GMT)
((OOC: ack, bad. I did intend for him to introduce himself like that.))

Thomas merely raised an eyebrow at the man, surprised to find him rather... impatient. It was a relief the Dowager seemed much more calm and collected. Although, there was a bit of a problem... He was lacking a ride for himself.

"Excused me, guards, may one of you ride ahead to inform the mayor of this important guest," he informed them, being quite polite about it, even crossing his right arm across his chest. One of the guards simply nodded and quickly headed for the mayor's house without another word. One of the remaining guards saw that he was without his old source of transport and offer Thomas a dark brown horse, to which Thomas thanked him by a gesture of his hand and a nod of his head.

When the lady had introduced herself, Thomas responded with a deep bow of his own.

"I am servant to the mayor, Thomas."

He got onto the horse, and wait for the visitors to get themselves ready for a slow and short tour of the city. By short, it clearly means that Thomas only meant to show them what they would pass as they travel to the mayor's residence, taking their time so the mayor can prepare for this important guest.

"I hope you don't mind me showing you a bit of town first, madam."
