Culture
NZ culture is quite...odd. The majority of inhabitants are human. The society has grown to view the wealthy as those who have been rewarded for their skill in business and they should not be deprived of their wealth in anyway as it is societies way of thanking them for their contribution to the economy. Class struggle is viewed as a beneficial part of society and economics and many think that without it, the urge to improve ones station in life would never be felt and production would decrease.
Life amongst the lower class is quite austere as it would appear to the upper class, yet their households are vibrant places full of oral histories which extend back hundreds of years to the days of Kenjikio. Schooling is only mandatory until the age of 14, at which point the students can choose to attend a vocational or research university or join the working masses in a field they are qualified for.
Every aspect of society is funded by the industrial magnates who are viewed as benevolent yet martinet father figures. They fund vocational schools in the fields they control while the Prince Executive and the Council of Eight fund the State University of N.E.O. Z.E.A.L.
Religion has mostly been discarded by the citizens as a useless myth created by Zelphians to satisfy their ignorance.
Society
Society is quite severely seperated. There are the working class and the ruling class. Those of the working class live lives viewed as inhumane by the ruling class and are almost always destined to remain in such a position. They have no say in government and have no rights to form any sort of social group or club which serves any purpose except for disseminating government news or assisting the government in executing their policies.
The ruling class live lives that only the great nobles of the foreign kingdoms could hope to achieve. Made immensely wealthy by lucrative trade and manufacturing of their high end products, many are educated by internationally known scholars and marry into the great houses of the human nations. they effect all parts of life and the more property and wealth one has, the more influence and sway they have.
