Amaya was originally property of a poor Kenjikian baron. After the fall of empire and birth of Bali, there were few who wished to remain behind. That petty baron immigrated to Serdio and rose to great power in Serdio, but not without first selling his manor and lands to the King of Serdio, Graith Rlugia, who had designs to make it a vacation palace. From there, Amaya was property of the Rlugia dynasty. Graith did nothing with Amaya (he was far too concerned with Mystice), yet upon his death, Dionysus became king and threw himself into the construction of Amaya, just one of his many projects. With Serdian money, he bought out the poor tenant farmers and expanded the size of the estate, and brought in famous artists from across Zelpha to redesign and glorify the vast estate. By time Dionysus had abdicated and died, Amaya was a glorious testament to Serdian art, and where the former queen and her two children lived for some time. The Serdian revolution did not effect the estate, which was magically transplanted into the territory of the Principality of Ivendell.

Surrounded by vast hills, all filled groves upon groves of grape vines, sits a massive villa house known only as Amaya. Despite the vast acres, and indeed, the grandeur of the mansion, the whole place is known only as Amaya Farms, hearkening back to the days when it was merely a small manor with even smaller acreage. Now-a-days however, the small manor is now a vast flowing antebellum mansion, and the acreage large, planted with all sorts of fruits, all used to press and forge wine drank across Zelpha. It is truly a paradise in Zelpha, although it's an exclusive place, owned by the Sadian monarchs, just one of the variety of palaces, mansions, and manors which are owned by the Imperial Family and where they can say.

The exterior of the villa is surrounded by miles and miles of rising hills and nature. Originally Amaya was a farm, but under Dionysus it was turned into a vineyard and winery. Along every hill lay all sorts of grapes, of various size, shape, taste, and hybrid. Large oak trees rise up as well, to provide shade and shelter. The natural forms of the estate seem to circle around the house, making it's view from afar very beautiful. The house it's self sits in a low area, surrounded on almost every side by a high rising ridge, part of the various hills that are part of an estate. In this back ridge grow a variety of plants, effectively making up the gardens of the whole villa.

Aside from the manor, there are a few other buildings on the estate. Closest to the actual house are the slave quarters, a portion of the estates were small, bleak, shacks are built. This is where the Shiian slaves live and rest, while during the day they work on the vast acres. Also near the mansion is another tidy manor. It is not as magnificent or luxurious, but it has a bourgeois comfort, and is where the Steward of Amaya lives. The Steward is the effective controller of Amaya when the Imperial family is not around, and thus ensures the Shii do their work and all the wine is made and exported, to make profits for the crown.

The actual mansion is large, but not overtly. Standing at only two stories, it has a very bourgeois feeling about it, brought about when Drake carried out renovations to tear down the tacky Baroque styles which his father had built the palace up with. There are a wide variety of rooms, all staffed with modern furniture and styles. It is a comfortable place, great for vacations, when the Imperial family wishes to steer clear of the politics and deceit of Sade.
