[Sources: Feast for the Soul, FESTIVAL: Tiien Yanri, Mystice Grand Palace, I don't need pity, Estonrell, North Hampton]

Just when everyone thought Kuja was bad enough, another arrives. His name is Nyzekial, a pure Mystic--a rare and threatening sight in Zelpha. But he has a partner, the partner is a human adept in the element of Fire, Rich. The two first arrive at a dark cave to allow the Mystic to have his fill in souls. However, as soon as they finish, the head toward ZEAL.

While all this is happening, the festival of the New Year (Tiien Yanri) occurs in the Holy Lands. However, this year it seemed far more festive, in celebration of the fall of yet another dark lord. Many arrive including Drake, Shayaateen, and those from Poseidon as well. Respected families of Celestials arrive with much flare to the captial, Zheng Katayami, in order the lead the festivities.

Waldron, tired of waiting, arrives to greet Drake, surprising the young king as he had heard much about his trainer's former teacher and caretaker. This stops the vampire, Shido, from attacking the young king just in the nick of time. But Drake is quickly diverted when the vampire assaults his friend Elizabeth.

The Qin Nabe ignores the events and begins conversing with Vimosu of the Poseidon Empires. They two reminisce about the old times as a little fight occurs.

And who is to come to rescue Drake and his companions but the unlikely Rich and Nyzek? The two quickly make Shido back off and the soldiers that arrive at the capital ignore the battle as Waldron is there. The victor is easily the unlikely heroes and Shido is thrown into rubble as the sun arrives.

Festivities come into full bloom with the announcement of the families and a rapid speech from the Yu Hasho herself. Raghnall quickly leaves to go find the Serdians only to be confronted by Nyzek. The Mystic remarks about the Mystic blood within the trainer's veins which the Celestial dismisses. The Mystic further irritates Raghnall by expressing his interest in the fair Yu Hasho. However, Nyzek is the first to leave them alone and Raghnall proceeds to talk to Shayaateen.

Nightfall arrives and the festivities are handled smoothly. As all this is happening, Garn appears in Deletore Uneki, destroying the filthy criminals as his gift for the new year. Tauntingly, he launches a message to the sky, making sure it is to be seen all over the Holy Lands. With that, he vanishes, determined to reach the glass bell and accomplish his duty as the eldest Zheng.

Raghnall sees it and Shayaateen remarks that he shouldn't worry and leave the troublesome former dark lord alone. Shido emerges from the rubble and demands a rematch from the Mystic.

The two engage in battle, Nyzek emerging victor like expected. As soon as the vampire flees, the Mystic returns to pester Raghnall. But the two do not engage in their hostile banter for long as midnight approached. Raghnall quickly disappears, determined to reach the bell in time.

When he emerges, Raghnall sees Garn already halfway up the steps. The two wrestle to get up to the bell only to be shown up by a mysterious cloaked figure. This figure rings the bell and promptly vanishes, signalling the end of the festival. The twins are dumbstruck and refuse to remark about what had occured. Was there possibly another Zheng older than them alive?

A day later, the Mystic, Nyzek arrives at the throne room of the Mystice Grand Palace, following Raghnall's recommendation of Shayaateen for information about ZEAL. He speaks with the advisor about it and is given the information he required. Leaving promptly afterward, Shayaateen returned to his work.

As all this occured, in the Isle of Mist arrived Garn. He quickly made his way into the deeper regions, confronting the hidden followers of Mortikan. The Undead followers sneer at him when the former dark lord scoffed at their sincerity. Ending by killing all but one of them, Garn leaves, determined to show all these Undead just what he was capable of.

News spreads quickly up to Estonrell in Mortikan of what Garn did to the followers of Mortikan and people start worrying about what would happen. And as all this happens, in North Hampton, two dark lords have a rather odd conversation in Kenjikan and enter yet another strange character by the name if Kieras. This man kills one of these lords and promptly leaves the scene. Just what significance could this loner have?

Silent Dragonet - September 8, 2007 04:05 AM (GMT)
I didn't change anything other than how it looks, but I shall save a copy of the old one here anyway.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zelpha is a fantasy RPG, and being so, there are many races to choose from. We had a problem in the past with no one choosing pre-selected races, so we're restricting it. Your character's race MUST be on this list!

Main Races:
These are the big deal. All races have traits, basically advantages and disadvantages. All races are NOT equal, so choose carefully! Races also have handicaps (sometimes), these are things that must be preformed by the race. For example, High Elves MUST be of Good Alignment, and such. Nothing big.

Humans - Your average, regular, boring human. Humans are well known for an expansionistic policy and craving for knowledge. They are considered obnoxious by most other races. Humans have declined in numbers for various reasons. Unlike other races, they don't have a set "look". It depends. A human mixed with any-other race is deemed a "Sho".

Advantages:
-Well Rounded (Can do just about anything)
-Adaptable (Adapt easy to new surroundings)
-Quick Learner (Picks up new ideas faster)

Disadvantages:
-Weak Magic (Their magic is not up to par with other races)
-Easy to Possess (Make perfect vassals for sprits)
-Arrogant (Most races assume humans to be arrogant colonialists)

---

Jaran -Nomads by nature, the Shoran were a long suppressed tribe of people who wandered the central plains of Mortikan. After Sabriel Novendot requested a new race be created, the Clayre began a magi-scientific quest to create a new race. They used both the old genes of the Undead and Shoran race to create a new race: The Jaran. They are tall and slender, with sharp features.

Advantages:
-Long-lived (They can live upwards of a hundred and fifty years)
-Incline to the Light Arts (They are gifted with magical abilities to be used for good)
-Immune to the Dark Arts (As they are spawned from a dark race, they are not hurt by dark magic, despite their holy alignment)

Disadvantages:
-Crusaders (They are nearly militant in their goodness)
-Industrial (They are not nearly as respectful of nature as they ought to be)
-Nomadic (They wander around, their cities are populated by Pasvie, they never settle down.
---

Shii - The men and women who inhabit the land of Vulcan are known as Shii. Primitive and rude, the Shii are well used as slaves in more civilized lands. However many have risen above this stereotype to be great people.

Advantages:
-Agile (Are VERY fast)
-Bare-handed (Do not need weapons to cause major damage)
-Rival Humans (Have a natural dislike/hatred for Humans)

Disadvantages:
-Easy to Possess (Make perfect vassals for sprits)
-Tradition (Bounded by Tradition)
-Primitive (Primitive culture, easily assimilated to other cultures)

---

Undead - No, these aren’t zombies! The Undead are a race of Pale, tall people known for their interest in the dark arts. A Dark Lord once led them, but he no longer exists. The Undeads have many names deprived from Earthern Language, and thus it is believed that this race once ruled a part of Earth until chased back to Zelpha.

Advantages:
-Pro-Dark (Not effected by Dark Magic)
-Immortal (They can surpass aging - they never die of old age)
-Tongue of the dead (All Undeads are born with the natural ability to communicate with Zombies, whose moans and screams cannot be deciphered even by the most wisest translator)

Disadvantages:
-Frail (Weak bodies, cannot take a lot of damage)
-Cursed by Light (They are SEVERELY harmed by light magic, even if they too are good)

---

Celestial - Angels on a mortal realm, the Celestials are a holy race created by the Gods to spread knowledge to the "lesser" races. They have three different types, which shall be discussed with their advantages and disadvantages. All Celestials can also change their form to look human or Elven. Their life depends on more of magic and divine connections to the Gods than anything else.

There are three traditional ornaments a Celesital must have in order to be a certified Celestial:
Desuya Kanare- A silver string or golden headband worn to change forms. The silver string can be worn upon the ear and still work.
Jiane Mire- A clip on one of the Celestial's wings. Made and placed on the Celestial the moment his/her wings develop. They symbolize either the family or the child. Any Celestial without it will be put to death.
Wari Dena- A gold identification ring used to help Celestial channel their powers. It glows and forms the symbols of your name when asked. Those without the ring are exiled.

~

Light Celestial - The Holiest of the Celestial races. They are known for their angel wings and melodic voices. They are also praised for their beauty.

Advantages:
-Pro-Light (Unharmed by Offensive Light Magic)
-Immortal (They can surpass aging - they never die of old age)
-Levitation (THEY CAN FLY! These winged creatures can fly without magic)
-Shape Shifter (Can Change form ~ Human and Elf only)
-Wise (Hold boundless knowledge)

Disadvantages:
-Cursed by Dark (They are SEVERELY harmed by dark magic)
-Reactionary (Shun all things technological and liberal)
-Pious (Almost always Morally correct)
-Rival Undead (Have a natural dislike/hatred for the Undead Race)

Handicaps -
-Must be of the Good or Neutral Alignment.
-Shape shifting abilities are controlled by the Desuya Kanare, an enchanted golden headband or a silver string.

~

Unknown Celestials - Unknown Celestials are a rare type, who has the ability to assume the shape of Light and Dark Celestials, as well as Humans and Elves. The royal family of the Holy Lands are unknown Celestials. In their Unknown Celestial form, they are noted for their unusually long Elven ears, cat-like irises, and fangs.

Advantages:
-Immortal (They can surpass aging - they never die of old age)
-Levitation (THEY CAN FLY! These winged creatures can fly without magic)
-Shape Shifter (Can Change form ~ Light/Dark Celestial, Human, and Elf only)
-Wise (Hold boundless knowledge)

Disadvantages:
-Reactionary (Shun all things technological and liberal)
-Easy to Possess (Make perfect vassals for sprits)
-Pious (Almost always Morally correct)
-Corruptible (Easily corrupted and tainted by greed and other things)
-Rival Undead (Have a natural dislike/hatred for the Undead Race)

Handicaps-
-Shape shifting abilities are controlled by the Desuya Kanare, an enchanted golden headband or a silver string.
~

Dark Celestials - The last type of Celestial, Dark Celestials are a darker form of Celestials, known for their dark magic, black wings, black horns (adults have ram's horns on either side of their head) and fangs.

Advantages:
-Pro-Dark (Not effected by Dark Magic)
-Immortal (They can surpass aging - they never die of old age)
-Levitation (THEY CAN FLY! These winged creatures can fly without magic)
-Shape Shifter (Can Change form ~ Human and Elf only)
-Wise (Hold boundless knowledge)

Disadvantages:
-Cursed by Light (They are SEVERELY harmed by light magic)
-Reactionary (Shun all things technological and liberal)
-Easy to Possess (Make perfect vassals for sprits)
-Corruptible (Easily corrupted and tainted by greed and other things)
-Rival Undead (Have a natural dislike/hatred for the Undead Race)

Handicaps -
-Must be Evil or Neutral alignment.
-Shape shifting abilities are controlled by the Desuya Kanare, an enchanted golden headband or a silver string.

---

Aquanaut - The Aquanauts are an aquatic race of people, who have inherited the ability to breathe underwater and other fish-like abilities. The Aquanauts were once considered savage monsters, but became civilized over time and a major race in all of Zelpha. They have many characteristics you can identify them by, and most of them reside in the Poseidon Empires. For more information, please click here, it’s the master guide to Aquanauts and Poseidon Empires.

Advantages:
-Aquatic (Can breathe underwater)
-Pro-Water (Not effected by Water Magic)
-Agile (Are VERY fast)
-Old Age (Live to be thousands of years old)

Disadvantages:
-Shocked (Weak against Lightning magic)
-Tradition (Are bounded by tradition)

---

Sho - Spoken of Earlier, the Sho are half of one race, and half of another.

Sho do not really have set advantages or disadvantages as other races, but rather receive half from both sides. Thus, if a Sho has a human parent and a Aquanaut parent, they can choose 1 advantage from both, and 1 disadvantage from both. They also inherit 1 handicap, if the either race has one. Sho are basically the most "customizable" race on Zelpha!

---

Elf - One of the more wise races on Zelpha, Elven people are known for their knowledge of the outside world, and are known to be employed in many nations as governmental advisors and officials. Like the Celestials, there are more than one type of elves. There are a couple types in which to choose from.

~

Elvaan - Elvaan represent the Elven tribes, which did not take a true "side" when their creation occurred. Elvaan's are more adept to melee than magic, and are not as knowledgeable as some of the other tribes. But Elvaan is an almost neutral tribe of the Elven people, who are free to go their own way.

Advantages:
-Agile (Are VERY fast)
-Wise (Hold boundless knowledge)
-True Sight (Excellent sight - perfect for Bowmen)
-Old Age (Live to be thousands of years old)

Disadvantages:
-Frail (Weak bodies, cannot take a lot of damage)
-Weak Magic (Their magic is not up to par with other races)

~

High Elf - High Elves were supposedly created when the God of Light, Spiran, purified an Elvaan. High Elves are elves who are adept in magic and have a fondness for all things holy and good. High Elves lack what the Elvaan's have.

Advantages:
-Pro-Light (Unharmed by Offensive Light Magic)
-Wise (Hold boundless knowledge)
-Old Age (Live to be thousands of years old)

Disadvantages:
-Cursed by Dark (They are SEVERELY harmed by dark magic)
-Frail (Weak bodies, cannot take a lot of damage)
-Pious (Almost always Morally correct)
-Isolated (Prefer books to people)

Handicaps -
Must be Good or Neutral alignment.

~

Drow - A Drow is the opposite of a High Elf. Drows came to be when the God of Darkness, Maou, cursed a lost Elvaan tribe. Drows are not adept in magic, but are rather sneaky and make great thieves, having a fondness for all things corrupt and wrong.

Advantages:
-Pro-Dark (Not effected by Dark Magic)
-Agile (Are VERY fast)
-Old Age (Live to be thousands of years old)
-Stealthy (Are able to hide and sneak around even in the most dire situations)

Disadvantages:
-Cursed by Light (They are SEVERELY harmed by light magic)
-Frail (Weak bodies, cannot take a lot of damage)
-Corruptible (Easily corrupted and tainted by greed and other things)
-Weak Magic (Their magic is not up to par with other races)

Handicaps -
Must be Evil or Neutral Alignment.

~

Night Elf - Unlike the Drow or High Elf, Night Elves were not created when a God placed their own ways into an Elvaan tribe. Night Elves were created to defend the ancient "Temple of Nitias". Although that temple no longer exists, Nigh Elves still exist. They are lovers of the moon and night.

Advantages:
-Agile (Are VERY fast)
-Wise (Hold boundless knowledge)
-Old Age (Live to be thousands of years old)
-Night vision (Can see perfectly in the dark)

Disadvantages:
-Frail (Weak bodies, cannot take a lot of damage)
-Color-Blind (Cannot see certain colors)

---

Untamed - Located in the Highlands, the Untamed are a race of humanoid animalistic people. They commonly have dog/cat-like characteristics, with human forms. They are quite primitive, but are known as great fighters.

Advantages:
-Agile (Are VERY fast)
-Claws (Possess claws or talons)
-Bare-handed (Do not need weapons to cause major damage)
-Rival Humans (Have a natural dislike/hatred for Humans)

Disadvantages:
-Easy to Possess (Make perfect vassals for sprits)
-Tradition (Bounded by Tradition)
-Primitive (Primitive culture, easily assimilated to other cultures)

---

Elemental - Spiritual beings called Elementals, which were created along with Celestials, are sort of "guides" for Celestials. They coexist with the race of Celestials, controlling a Celestial's major element in life. This race requires permission from Yliatas_Timend, if you want to be one.

Advantages:
-Shape Shifter (Can Change form ~ No restrictions)
-Bodiless (More or less a sprit)
-Mind Reader (Can naturally read minds)
-Levitation (THEY CAN FLY! These creatures can fly without magic)
-Immortal (True immortals. Cannot die unless destroyed by the Council of 8* or the creator Gods.)
-God's Tongue (Can understand the language of the creators)

Disadvantages:
-Isolated (Don't associate with mortals often)
-Tradition (Are bounded by tradition)

*Council of 8 are the original eight elementals. See Yliatas_Timend's NPC topic for more information.
---

God - These are most powerful beings on Zelpha, who molded and created the world. NOT FOR PLAY. Gods are perfect in almost everyway, and have no inherited Advantages and Disadvantages; instead they retain the advantages and disadvantages of their mortal race, if they had one.

---

Sub-Races:
Completely optional, Sub-Races are an extra add-on if you want a little more spice. Sub-Races come with more advantages and disadvantages, but these are tacked on with your original race. Some sub-races include vampires, zombies, et cetera. If you need more spice, then look here! Keep note that sub-races DO pass on through birth, if a sub-race CAN have birth.

Vampire - Beings of the night, Vampires have a natural thirst for blood and a natural hatred for all things light. Vampires are rare as they can pass on their traits, through biting victims.

Advantages:
-Pro-Dark (Not effected by Dark Magic)
-Immortal (They can surpass aging - they never die of old age)
-Stealthy (Are able to hide and sneak around even in the most dire situations)
-Night vision (Can see perfectly in the dark)

Disadvantages:
-Cursed by Light (They are SEVERELY harmed by light magic)
-Blood Thirst (Require blood to live, cannot eat regular foods)
-Cursed by Day (Are weakened by Sun-light, must retreat to coffins in the day)
-Shunned (Feared by most other races)

---

Zombie - The Living Undead, if you will. Zombies differ from the Undead. Whilst the Undead race is alive and free, Zombies are decayed bodies raised for who knows why. Zombies tend to lack souls and compassion for others.

Advantages:
-Pro-Dark (Not effected by Dark Magic)
-Immortal (They can surpass aging - they never die of old age)
-Night vision (Can see perfectly in the dark)

Disadvantages:
-Cursed by Light (They are SEVERELY harmed by light magic)
-Shunned (Feared by most other races)
-Sterile (Unable to have children)

---

Ghost - Being a sprit is a great thing. A Ghost is a person who has refused to pass on into death, and has decided to reside in the Mortal realm as a ghost wreaking havok on those still living.

Advantages:
-Stealthy (Are able to hide and sneak around even in the most dire situations)
-Night vision (Can see perfectly in the dark)
-Transparent (See-through, cannot touch or be touched)

Disadvantages:
-Vengeance (Naturally vengeful, even if peaceful)
-Cursed by Light (They are SEVERELY harmed by light magic)

Handicaps -
-Your Alignment must switch to Chaotic. (That means if you are good, neutral, or evil, you must become Good Chaotic, Neutral Chaotic, or Evil Chaotic)

--

Demon - Yet another sub-type is that of demons. Demons are seen as incantations of Maou, created to wreak havoc upon the world. That is partly true, but most demons that walk on Zelpha were not created that way. They either have demonic ancestors, or their ancestors were made into demons by existing ones. There are a couple types of demons.

~

Incubus - An Incubus is a demon who assumes the form of a man, usually without flaw. Incubi usually prey on women, and are known for having a large sexual appitite.

Advantages:

-Color-Blind (Cannot see certain colors)
-Corruptible (Easily corrupted and tainted by greed and other things)

Not rules, just old news.
(Newest on top.)
23/06 - Selena - Okay, so I told people I felt like making a new layout for the forums so I shall. Holylands colors! Because we need something different. xP Plus, it might make more sense with new plot... Well, layout (as I'm seeing it in my head) looks pretty peaceful, but hey, could be a sense of false security. : ) I have no idea when I'll finish it. I"m tired now.

2006
21/06 - Crys - The new plot has been put up. It follows up with the previous one so just keep going on with your little mini-plots and whatnot. It is also the next year as well, so you may or may not want to change your characters' ages. It's optional to modify ages. Have fun!

21/05 - Goku - The Shoutbox has been fixed, you can all thank me if you wish.

03/04 - Selena - Yeah, the board has a skin change, a banner change. Plot moving along nicely and . . . uh . . . that's it. Anyways, site link shall be gone and removed. Guess it's too early for a site. We don't really need one right now anyways.

01/06 - Selena - Blah . . . Well, at least I know what to not try next time. In any case, I fixed a little thing no one probably noticed (Code size @_@).

2005
12/31 - Selena - Okay, Zelpha has a site now. Still working out some stuff but for the most part, it is ready. Admins, please view it over in case I should add something or fix something or . . . et cetera. Happy New Year and stuffs. Enjoy the Holy Lands events!

12/19 - Selena - You may have notice the new images. xD That banner and 3rd button is my Christmas gift to Zelpha (I just felt like making one) and the first button is the one I made a long time ago and didn't like. But the other buttons are named Button2 and Button3, so I put it there anyways. And please check out the rules (click here) if you haven't already. Have a nice day. : )

12/10- Crys- If you all haven't noticed already, Zelpha has restarted and gone back in time to a year after the novel takes place. Please read the plot topic I made in the rules for more info on what the heck is going on.

9/10 - Drake - I fixed some stuff in the CSS. Now text in topics, sigs, and other stuff is large enough to read with no problems!

9/10 - Bojack: Drake and I did a bit of work with the fonts. If you have any complaints PM Drake. :P

9/7 - Crys: Wow, Zelpha finally got a button. XD Joking aside, added Nightmare to affliates. And yes, we are very much...alive.

8/31 - Selena: I got kind of bored so I decided to modified this a bit using a code script I found on the InvisionFree support forums. Though I then realized I forgotten something. Oh well, I'll add in the buttons later and fix up the rest later.

If you prefer the old one, just say so.

Obsolete
  • Citizenship Removed September 2008
You may have noticed some of the screen names are colored differently. Does this mean you have to be something other than a "member" to RP? No, no, it doesn't. These groups are for fun really, and don't really bare anything special. It should affect your character's culture or at least the way they were brought up... In any case, if your character identifies with a nation, he or she is a citizen of that country. Now, you should check up on the "Regions of Zelpha" thread to find out how things are as you can be currently listed under one of five groups:
    Sade | Bali | Z.E.A.L. | The Holylands | Poseidon Empires
Each group shall have their own Coat of Arms as a sign of their group. At the moment, those are not done. Other than that, nothing special. What if your character moves around and doesn't really live anywhere? Then you'll stay in the member category.

Also, you don't have to read everything. Read whatever you like here.

----POST 9

Extra Information

The following information can be known or lesser known among characters. Do not assume all characters will know everything here. It's just interesting tidbits.

Basic Information about Zelpha
[Most of this stuff, characters will probably know.]

Politics -

"Voting" is a foreign idea. However, with the fall of the Serdian Consulate, both Meria and Serdio claim to have governments which allow the election of officials. However, it's uncommon, and voting is usually quite limited.

People haven't yet discovered the idea of nationalism, or that they belong to a certain country. They view themselves as "human", "Aquanaut", or whatever, and have loyalty to their ruler(in some cases), no matter who they are.

Technology -

Zelpha doesn't many modern things. There is running water, electricity, and heat, telephones, telegraphs, and other assorted items from the 19th century.

Zelpha has 1820s weaponry. For soldiers, there are muskets, carbines, rifles, swords, bows, staves and wands(for magicians), spears, and other medieval weaponry.

Cannons exist, and muskets exist. Gun-powder is also used for batteries and fireworks as well.

Transportation is basically boats, trains, cars, carriages, and airships.

Airships exist, they are magical run, and wooden. They also have "steam engines" that use water(created by magicians) to work the engine. Iron ships are also becoming popular.

Cars are slow, and much in the style seen in the early 20th century on earth.

Industrial items exist mostly as they were in the early 20th century on Earth.

Social Topics -

Although Zelpha seems inward and backwards, it's quite advanced in social terms. Women have made large gains since the beginning of Zelpha's creation, and now a days are able to serve in armies, rule, and do whatever men can do!

Slavery, although not totally wide-spread, is seen as a way of life. The
"Shii" race is the peoples used for slavery, as they are the most primitive of all races.

~

Celestials
There are three types of Celestials: Unknown (rarest), Dark (uncommon), and Light (common) Celestials. All of them have Elementals portraying their strongest element.

Raghnall and Garn Zheng are twins that are opposite of each other in most ways.

Most Celestials cannot pronounce 'r's in Modern Zelphanese without trilling them or making them sound like 'l's. Exceptions are: Garn, Feng, Waldron.

Celestials have two major dialects in their language: Ashitasn--the first tongue Celestials spoke (compare it to...olden English) and Yalusyu--the more common one which was made three centuries ago.

There are eight prominent families in the Holy Lands descended directly from their gods. Here they are:

Zheng- The family name of Kana Zheng the God of Beginings.
Leri- The family name of Masako Leri, the Goddess of Judgement.
Takeshii- The family name of Karin Takeshii, the God of Knowledge.

Faten- The family name of Tathilia Faten, the Goddess of Fate.
Wari- The family name of Yakusha Wari, the God of War.

Aquanauts - Under heavy construction, might as well ignore most of it now.
Aquanauts are the water people that can survive both underwater and above water. Though, originally, they were restricted to the ocean until an Aquanaut by the name of Huvahe decided to fiddle around with a certain powerful ancient text. The result was his greatest wish, the ability for Aquanauts to live on land, excluding the desert, as the heat is unbearable unless they lack the thick skin trait*. However, the price was his own life and unlike his brother, who was mentioned earlier in “Poseidon Empires and the New Royal Line,” he did not gain any power from the book. But his brother managed to give him some of his own power. Thus, gave birth to the third Poseidon Empires god although he is considered the second since at the time, Nizu Ura was not acknowledged for having sided with Gydan Moa, who was presumed to be dead in some mystical pit that he could never escaped from. But that story is for another time.

*(The thick skin trait only adds a slight difference in weight is actually very useful because it’s harder for the skin to be cut or at least cut deeply. Also, children born with this trait have an easier time adapting to the temperature of the ocean. It is a very common trait among pureblooded Aquanauts.)

Another interesting tidbit, none of the Aquanician gods have Aquanician god names except for Gydan Moa, which is not really a name. They have Aquanician birth names, but that's it (again, Gydan Moa does not have an Aquanician birth name).

Huvahe's god name is Poseidon
Vehusu's god name is Demitrius
Nizu Ura's god name is Maura
Gydan Moa's god name is Gydan Moa

For physical appearance, Aquanauts are tall, oddly colored (most common is blue), have small ears, have small noses, and have an extra transparent layer over their eyes. In the past, they had large fangs that would hang outside the mouth and claws as well as rough scaled skin. Aquanauts have since then evolved to have much smoother but just as tough skin, though there are some remains of their claws and fangs. They are just not really that noticeable unless you happen to study teeth and nails.

In the old days, Aquanauts also did not have any last names. Instead, they had a family mark that had no meaning or pronunciation (so you can’t read it or understand it no matter how hard you tried since there is nothing to read or understand). This mark is normally located on the left arm, where it would be engraved by a very sharp object so the mark leaves a scar or a permanent colored print. When one gets married or have done something of high important, more marks would be added underneath symbolize them. This is where the custom of the color bands came from. In many parts of Poseidon Empires, "scaring" or “tattooing” is still pretty common.

Aquanauts have their own language and it’s called Enuasaudi, which just means “language of the Aquanauts.” The language has an alphabet system that can be written in Modern Zelphanese as well as in the Enuasaudi. They look different, but are pronounced the same way following the standards set around the times Humans first came to Poseidon Empires. They had also set a standard system for the ancient form the language, though few actually speak it nowadays as it is limited.

Anyways, due to the different in pronunciation of letters, many Aquanauts have an accent. However, nowadays it is required to learn both Enuasaudi and Modern Zelphanese along with a few other skills made primarily to aid Humans and non-water breather folk. Sometimes, it is possible to hear Aquanician words being messed into Modern Zelphanese sentences.

The ancient form of the Aquanaut language is called "Moensaudi," which literally means tongue or language of the Dark Water People as it was a combination of the language of Aquanauts from the Age of Darkness and Gydan Moa. It was based more on what Gydan Moa spoke so the original Aquanaut before that time is pretty much lost for the time being.

*(For more on the Aquanician language, refer to the Master Guide book to Aquanauts and Poseidon Empires located here)

If someone out not exactly familiar with Poseidon Empires' Palace or University, they would think they were in some sort of military base, but in a sense, they are. However, the rest of the country does not dress so strict.

(Extra Note: Some people in Poseidon Empires may have a special skil, however, that is extremely rare. Also, when someone does have a special skill, it is limited and most people believe the person to be lying about it if the skill was telepathy. This has nothing to do with Aquanician blood, it's just a random and rare sort of thing that a couple of characters have. So far, that is Hezu Celestine Panhoi and one other character that suppose to be a crazy prophet lady.)
