i am trying to make a beer label and I am having some problems with the spacing and angles of the letters. Is there a way to place text perfectly around a circle so all of the letters are at the correct angle? I know there is the arc tool but it also distorts the letter. Is my only option doing it manually and judging with my eye.

I tried but its tough.

I tried some tutorials but the ones I found are for perfect circles. My label is an oval so its really hard to get the text to fit just right.

The tutorial I sent you should work with ovals too, but I'm not sure if that's what you mean lol
