I could see if someone is a complete dick to bump a topic from a year ago but bumping a topic about 24 hours old shouldn't result in a closing.

Just my opinion.

That stuff drives members away to more member friendly sites.

"Bumping" -
- first offense = topic will be locked
- second offense = topic will be deleted
- third offense = 1 day ban

i don't delete topics or ban people for it because there's no way to know how many offenses someone's had and frankly that's just too harsh. but yes it is annoying when someone posts a wall and doesn't get any comments, so they bump it a few hours later.
