Well, as we all know, Wallpaper/desktop art is a dying business...not as much interest in it...at all actually...

So instead of watching in crumble, how about we change the graphics section around a bit, and not focus so entirely on desktops, maybe on other kinds of art, and web design things of that sort...

I know theres other sections, but there, "tucked away" so to speak...

So what do you think?

But honestly, if WCX no longer makes wallpapers, mainly sports wallpapers, who will? Everyone else sucks mostly. And WCX has always been known for making wallpapers.

WCX will be basketball and sports related for the duration of its existence, solely because we have that certain attitude that goes along with it. We have a lot of talented and versatile designers, but first and foremost, this is the absolute #1 place to get the best basketball shit.

yea i have to agree with ajbry nobody should change the image of WCX because it has always been associated with sports wallpaper. the reason why i think that web design isnt that popular on this site because its not publisized on the main page.

Exactly. WCX is on the top of the wall paper chain, and I don't see any reason, myself, to try and change that.

This is a sports/graphics community. People should really look elsewhere if they're wanting a web design forum.

Hm, maybe I worded it wrong, I was talking about the forums...

I figure promoting other things like Misc Art more might do wonders....I think the "Wallpaper" art thing is dying down...so why not test ourselves with other kinds of design as well as wallpapers. New size canvas, things of that sort, like the "Tennis Battle" things are doing right now...I really dig that kind of stuff

I see what you mean. Sometime there is great work done in the misc section, that is unfortunately overlooked because everyone just checks the wallpaper section. I think the misc section should just be for sigs. I think everything else should go in the other section, and just change it to graphic art. Just my opinion though.
