Title: New Consoles
Description: e3

Well e3 is on so now I'm goignt to talk about the nintendo's new "revelution" console "xbox360" and "PS3"

Xbox360 still has the bored-look faces on and ya better graphics but not as good as the PS3 (And I'm an xbox fanboy) killzone2 is amazing on the PS3 when they were showing a clip and revelution, well the only things they were showing off at the press confrences was Zelda: twilight princess which was really good looking but it turns out to be that link turns into a werewolf..........and whats this halo 3 might be one the PS3!

You realize that almost all of the PS3 demos are prerendered, (yes the Killzone one is too) a Gamecube could handle pre-rendered stuff like that! At least the Xbox360 is showing gamers what they can actually expect at the launch of the console. Look at Quake 4 on the Xbox360, that game is only using 25% of the Xbox360's capabilities and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Condemmed: Criminal Orgins look fantastic!

Oh yes, and do not forget when the PS2 was shown at E3 several years ago, they claimed it was capable of handling Toy Story type graphics. How do we know that Sony is not pulling the same thing again. Trying to build up the hype? :D

Sony always bs I made this thread as I was watching and I didn't know at first they prerendered...the ps3 is most likely going to be the same or probABly less grahpics of the xb360...there was talk at the tes forum of if the tes4 was going to be a ps3 but bethsoft I doubt they would because sony would make them prerender the gameplay to make there competiters look bad just like they did at e3..

Well, Sony said that it is what they expect games to look like later in the console's life. I don't know, if they weren't fooling, it would be awesome, but they've pulled something like this before and I'd think they might try it again.

then nintendo all they said was that "You will be wowed by the graphics" pretty much a glittering genrality on there part since they only should the console itself and that you can download old games..from the nes and stuff which excited me very much but otherwise...

cartooning_monkey - August 3, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
I think that the downloading of old games is the best feature I've heard. The graphics must be pretty good because I read on IGN that Valve is making Half-life 2 for the Revolution as well a PS3. If I can find the page I'll post it up. Finally Nintendo embraces online abilities! There are three problems that make me not like Nintendo very much: they ignore the demands and needs of the consumers, they produce waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many baby games, and, though their machines are very cheap, they are built fairly cheaply and are not made to last, except for some of the early systems, the GC is made out of junk. Also, being so cheap, they do not have as good technology as some of the other systems.

Nintendo makes some reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy good games though.

cartooning_monkey - September 3, 2005 08:14 PM (GMT)
Oh, okay! Thanks! ^_^

fattest_matt - September 4, 2005 06:02 PM (GMT)
Most sites are saying X360 is coming out in November, which would be AWESOME because that's only 2 months away! It'll be the best birthday present I've ever given myself :D

I'm not sure if I'll get one or not. I'm getting a sweet gaming computer around then and I don't think it is a great idea to be on the frontlines for a new console, remember the huge controllers?

fattest_matt - September 5, 2005 05:15 AM (GMT)
Well, I know I can't make up your mind for you, but if it's the controllers that have you worried: Xbox 360 FAQ

cartooning_monkey - September 5, 2005 06:34 PM (GMT)
Oh, it is not the controllers I'm worried about. I'm just giving an example that when the consoles first come out, there are usually some wrinkles that need ironing out, and I prefer to buy the system when it is perfected.
