This topic didn't seem to fit in the "console" "PC" or "Handheld" because it stretches over ALL game systems and such, plus it's not directly game music. So, here it shall be placed... what game are you playing now?

"N e good?" BEST GAME EVAR. Physics, storyline, graphics, gameplay, EVERYTHING in that game makes me want to hug everyone at valve.

HL2 does simply own. I love that game- the ending was one of the best ever.

I don't play it anymore, but I occasionally play CS:S. Steam user= Celedux. Add me sometime if you want to play.

As for recommendations... let's see:

Max Payne Series (especially 2 for PC)
Manhunt
GTA series (duh)

There's TONS of others, but I don't want to think of 'em. Oh yeah, every Zelda game ever made.

I actually have the game!!!! but the bugga wont play!! :( it keeps crashing and i dont know why and then my computer restarts! Any Advise. I havent really got a 'top of the range computer

I'm playing World of Warcraft... also known as world of lagcraft, waitcraft etc... Still a fun game. Can't expect a game that has that many players to run smooth ALL the time.

I agrae that is the best RPG in ze world (Why because finally fantasy is a lame excuse for one)
And Right now I'm playing HL2 and Counter-strike Source, along with the mods of these. (Because Halo2 sucks, why....because it's the same gameplay, all the cinematic and gameply bit-maps and skins appear WHEN your playing when you can see, witch is crap. The story line is dumb, the whole point of it is xbox live or a smart friend and I don't have these, so to me the game is totelly pointless....)

Well when I look at a game I look at when the fun stops, like even for morrowind and half-life 2 I could say so things, like for hl2, the story is good but once it ends it's done like hall2 but the good thing about hl2 is that you can download thing, From the internet that's at it's most $30, xb live $80........big difference........
Morrowind once you beat the quest it might get boring and if you're not devoted to it then you'll hate because you'll still be on level 2, and the graphics aren't THAT great, for it's time..........and it takes A LOOOOOOOONG time to figure out what's going on.......but it's a good game, quite a few glitchhes like getting stuck in railings but good....

Well everything but gameplay. I always hated half-life weapons cuz they're so unrealistic. A USP Match with 18 bullets and is weaker then a 9mm... turned the **** thing into a glock. Oh well all the other guns(except the real-world ones) were cool, but they really could have put the source engine to better use.



You don't buy half-life 2 for half-life 2 anyways... its the mods and tc's that are being made for it, vesave: Valandil and Goldeneye TC :D

Red Orchestra for UT2K4(if your into the "use-your-brain realistic type fps").
Devil May Cry(I don't know why but I just love the first one over the third.. and part 2 just sucks)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Streets of Rage 2: mindless street fighting for 8 stages, but very fun!

Half-life 2 IS THE BEST GAME! Halo 2 can be fun sometimes but it is way over-hyped, currently playing Morrowind GOTY for the Xbox, very good but horrendously long load times and pretty lousy graphics. Just beat Doom 3 for the Xbox a couple weeks ago, very very good game. And looking foreward to FAR CRY INSTINCTS for Xbox

Yes morrowind GOTY may got annoying with the horrendesly long load times and if you are really fast like me loads are every five seconds to load the new parts of land..and some script is a bit stupid, there's no ragdoll physics so people go through the walls and the graphics and some of the skins of weapons exspecially the legendayr ones suck (Like the fists of randagulf)...But I like the game my character is a level 60 as a dark elf....(This is on xbox)...
If I had to rate morrowind on a scale of 1 to five I would give it a three (and it's my most favorite game ever)

Halo is also pretty good...but it's repetitive, strait forward and the bitmap and texture skins on house and other buildings look very bad...the introduction of the arbater character was very unneeded (exspecialy the first level with him)..of coures as I said before the biggest problem was the loading of characters, bitmaps and skins, in cinamatics and gameplay (single player and multiplayer)
The vehiacles in the first game were fun and refreshing because they were in fewer levels, in halo2 they were in all of the levels (almost) making it less refreshing when ypu jumped into the vehicles..the newer weapons were great but in multiplayer when they have halo classics I wanted the old assualt rifle and pistol and the others not the updated ones...As I said before with the loading in gameplay and cinematics....you would of think with the multiplayer map packs they would put with the update download in it, would fix the problem, but it didn't instead all it did was put on the bottum of the menu screen 1.1....The good points of the games are, the vehicles run smoothly, it's fun with coop...to find easter eggs, like the two easter eggs on the metropolis level (scarab gun, and giant soccer ball) and also the hidden skulls...the story line was quite good and the cinematics ignoring the loading ins were quite good...the multiplayer is still very fun with newer modes and xbox live including to have even more fun with your buddies, the new maps with the map pack are good but you really need xbox live because playing tow player on those maps (or any map) is very boring....the graphics are very good quality for the xbox and the stupid crap you can do with the physics and gliched are very fun t odo (warthog jump etc.)
If I had to rates this from a scale of 1 to 5 I would give the game a 4

I agree. But it is kind of old and can you imagine if it had higer res, better character models, and ragdoll physics? Think of the loading! You'd have to let it load overnight it would take so long. I hope the loading in TES4: Oblivion is much faster. I had a friend who owns Morrowind for PC come over and he laughed so hard at how long it took to load and how often it had to load. :lol:

I thought that PARIAH wasn't a very good game, I mean I've only played a demo of the first level and it didn't impress me.

I rented it and it was very hard...maybe not the first level but very hard...the graphics were very good but the vioce acting on the enemies when you die are just sdtupid...the story was very good and the cinematics were really good too..the map editor was very fun to do but if you don't have xbox live or psonline the multiplayer is useless of course on computer theres no fee so it's better on that...like I said the singleplayer is hard...but I like that you could upgrade your weapons and the vehicles was a breath of fresh air after being on land for soooo many levels, the graphics were very very good and blasting off the glass on the enemies masks was fun also you can break columns... I rate Pariah a 4 out of 5

Maybe I'll rent it or get it when the price goes down. I bought Call of Duty: Finest Hour yesterday and that is pretty fun. I thought it would be better, but it is still good, better than any of the new Medal of Honor games anyhow.

Ya the COD series is much better then the Medal of Honor series, but cod on the pc is better then the console atleast I've heard...

This thread might be dead, but I just played through Half-Life 2 for the second time recently, and right now I'm switching back and forth between Counter-Strike: Source and Battlefield 2 (which I just bought).

And to anyone that is considering playing Pariah, save yourself the disappointment and pick up Doom 3 or Breakdown or something. The first time through the story is kind of confusing (lots of unexplained stuff, who the heck are the Shroud?), it's short (you can finish it in a day of steady playing), and the weapons are even more unbalanced than Halo 2 (once you get the grenade launcher, you can almost forget about the other guns). I made the mistake of buying Pariah myself, so I'm speaking from experience here...

HALF-LIFE 2!

Yeah, COD was fun, until it got unrealistic. I can shoot a Nazi in the neck twice and it still doesn't kill him! Now I'm playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and that is really good. The co-op hasn;t quite lived up to the hype and the single-player is starting to get old, kind of hope it ends soon! ^_^ Then I plan to but Far Cry Instincts and Doom 3 Ressurection of Evil is coming to Xbox! :lol: Goody goody!

Not a lot of time for interactive scenic art.
I think half-life to be a bit lame, but I don't know about 2 as my laptop isn't that quality.

Unfortunately there isn't a good rpg out there. All the stories are **** and there is no real exploration, you don't want to meet the world and current games give an empty sense of accomplishment.

When I first played Diablo, I was thrilled at the town music and dreamt of traveling the lands. They took me down a church. Why do people settle on the compromise? Instead of doing something great they do something ok.

That said, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
is the best game yet made.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 = FUN!

I beat Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 on difficult, and unlocked Authentic, but I don't feel like playing that game over again, right after I beat it. ;) I bought Far Cry Instincts, which is truly great, the map editor alone is worth at least twenty bucks. Make your own tropical paradise.

PARIAH sucked, later in the game, the explosions look like something that would come from doom 1/wolfenstien (2d... 2D!!!) , going down a ladder causes you to fall off the map... ugh.

Playing TimeSplitters 2 with a friend. That's got a great co-op. and Morrowind. Always. And waiting for Oblivion! :D :D :D

HL2/BF2/JO are all great games! As for right now though I am playing the newly released F.E.A.R, and also Prince of Persia (warrior within) on p.c.

F.E.A.R is awesome, but I had to go out and purchase the GTX 7800 just for the game to look and play to the fullest.

Also playing Sly Cooper 3 on PS2. The game is just fun!

I recently finished HL2 on the Xbox. I got out of the map twice by climbing on barrels and managed to clone Alyx.

On the computer it's "Soldat" - a side scrolling shooter with up to 50 bots or online play, and "Multitheft Auto" - a multiplayer mod for GTA:VC and GTA3 :).
