Who plays Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield Vietnam or is looking forward to Battlefield 2?

Oh GOD I do! Desert Combat, Galactic Conquest........wow, what a great game! I can't wait for battlefield 2! What's your name on there, man? Which mods do you play (if any)?

For some reason, Battlefield 1942 runs slow on my computer, yet my computer far surpasses the req/rec requirements... it's been puzzling me forever as to why, and it sucks because it was a great game. Because of which, I never got Vietnam, and probably won't get 2.

Maybe your PC just isn't "optimized" to run as well as it should.

A disk cleanup or file defragmentation can work wonders in keeping things running smoothly, and the results are particularly evident if you don't do them very often.

Or, if you've got some cash to spare, some extra memory always helps.

I've tried all those things, and even after two total reformats of my hard drive, it STILL runs slow. I'm running on an Athalon 2100+ with 1.2gig of RAM, 80 gig hard drive... GeForce 4 Ti 4400. So, for the time it came out, I had it beat easy.

Hmmm... aside from your older video card (still a great one- I had a GeForce 4 myself) you've got a nice system that should run better than it does. Odd.

No time. Want to get into Eve Online, but I haven't found a site to download and buy it from. AA is alright though not in the Le Tigre way. I own urban with a capital mistaken aimbot comment.

& what's with those 800k zips on lime****? I've never played the first Myst or any others. No idea how to work ISOs. Realize it's all wrong but I like to try before I buy, and demos always give the wrong impression.
