I know the PSP's not out yet in the US, but I didn't know if anyone imported it. I've tried the DS several times at my store, and I'll tell ya' what, I really don't like it. I know it's inovative, but if only it had an analog stick..........it's 3D! That's what made the N64 great, was that not only did it have 3D graphics, but it had 3D controls, as well. Big goof on Nintendo's part, if you ask me. I'm interested in the PSP, but I've always had pretty shotty products from Sony, so I'm not expecting much less of them now.

Sony's stuff = extra-poorly made to boost sales. I'm willing to bet 1/6 0f all PS2 and PSP sales are replacements. What I don't get is why people don't just realize it's crap and stop buying.

EDIT: Oh yeah, got a DS. I'm neglecting it, though (too busy with my new Halo for PC- I wish I had my consoles back)

So............my balls have more life then the PSP's battery, and the ds I don't care what anybody says looks worse then the N64's graphics.........

N64 has a 64 polygon count, while the DS has 124, big difference buddy boy.

So it still looks worse.....even if the ds has more polygons

I don't really care, none of these handhelds have any software that is even worth glancing at.

Some do.....lets see here, Metroid Prime Hunters is beast....7 playable characters, King of the hill, Slayer, Maybe CTF, and a story mode on top of Wireless mutiplayer using DS WIFI crap so you can play other ppl over the world. Looks like fun when your board.

Animal Crossing is awsome, just becauce its animal crossing, WIFI internet thingy, live a life and get a house, buy stuff, make house bigger, if you never played the origonal then you have no idea how addictive it is.

Advance wars duel strike is the best turn based stratagy game on the market today, animations crisp, good music, so many COs to use.....I still havent put it down.....

Nintendogs is well.......teh best selling game over in japan and has become a popular fad in my highschool. I mean, its worth lugging around a DS just to play this puppy simulater. something ya won't find on concles.

Mario Cart DS is going to be so much fun online. The origonal was fun as hell and a great game.

Meh, I'm a lil one sided when PSP VS DS. Those non-handheld gamers should know I used to never have a handheld, but i gots a DS for Chirsmas and I think its pretty good!

Oh yeah, Linux on the DS is going to be so cool! :P

I guess that you are right. The DS does have some pretty good software out and coming, but that is the problem, coming, to make a really signifigant launch and impact, consoles and other video gaming devices need some really good software right away! Animal Crossing DS is probably going to be incredibly popular and will probably sell well, but it would have been a lot better if it had been around when the DS was being released. Same with many other games, at least Super Mario 64 DS was out when the DS was first released.

For those of you who think the ds needs an analog stick, please tell me how we would close the screen, without cutting off the left speaker.

Like how telescopes are made. The analog stick should fold back into itself. ;)

Drill a hole in the center of the d-pad and insert the right width thumb stick, unless you have a brain and a N64 replacement thumb-stick, as I believe the DS is not very pressure sensitive so wiring and melting it in would probably be a waste of time. Why you own one is anyones guess, the only good portable handheld is your penis.

DS has a clock. Weeee! I also have a portable DVD player to watch portable DVDs. You know, with all those fancy features they cut out so you can fit it all on a USP disc. Not to mention Advance Wars: Dual Strike. The best handheld series ever.
