I shot these while doing the photography for the Temple of the Imagination project at Kew gardens London in early 2006.
They were part of the Orchid Festival in the Princess of Wales glasshouse. This has been extended as a tropical festival for 2007 and starts today 3rd February for the rest of the month.
If you can get there do it, you wont regret it. The walking wounded are catered for with free use of electric scooters, you need to book in advance. The glass houses are nice and warm on a cold day and a great place to eat a packed lunch.
Its best if you use the Brentford gate, there is pleanty of free parking for bluebadge holders right next to it.
Wheelchair users get in for £6.50 and any carer with you is allowed in for free, it goes up in April.

This is my shot that was turned into a 1.5 meter high window in the Temple of the imagination.
It is one of the spiral staircases in the Palm house.
