Title: Flash Card problem

I have two Scandisk Extreme III 1.0gb compact flash cards purchased from MX2.
I have used them once, each to full capacity 200 jpeg pictures using a Canon 400D
I successfully downloaded from both cards 10 frames each onto my PC
Then a few days later tried to download the remainder with no result, the computer is not reading the cards and stating the are corrupt.
I have tried with another PC with no result, I have also used Card Reader and direct from camera to PC connection.
When the cards are placed in camera I can see the pictures on the camera LCD screen. :(
Any help please as to what went wrong and can I recover

Simon, have had a similar problem, the answer on mine was that for some weird reason, the missing pictures were on a parallel file on the card.
I finally found them by accident, as the file numbers were almost identical. It has happened twice more since.
When you put the disc in the camera and connect to pc, just see if there are two file nos, one under the other,

Very odd - I have also had a problem recently with exactly the same make and size of cards. Must be a bad batch out there.
The only solution for me was to connect the camera to my PC and download that way, much slower than a card reader. Then when it came to an image that was supposedly corrupt I would delete it and carry on downloading from there.
I lost some images and the cards are now in the bin!

Thanks Gentlemen for your ideas but after a while of going round in circles I have taken the easier if not expensive route and sent the cards to some recovery specialists.
Friday I received some good news, :lol: a recovery was being made.

The cards went to LC Tecnology who recovered the pictures ;) but are unable to tell me what went wrong. :angry:
The only thing I can think of, when I downloaded the first group of 10 shots the rest got screwed up so a week later I could not download, so infuture I will download every thing in one go.
I am sending the cards back to MX2 for replacement.
