Title: Jessops discounts for DPS members

Many of us have wondered, if DPS members receive a discount on purchases from Jessops; to this end I contact them today and sadly DPS members do not receive a discount. But, members of the Royal Photographic Society do receive a discount from Jessops on producing their membership cards.

So, it is very good that we are able to join the Royal Photographic Society at a reduced annual rate of £35, against the full annual rate of £90.

I think we are entitled to a discount, but I will have to check on this.

OK, I now have the answer to this.

We were able to get a discount once, but only through the society. IE it had to be ordered at a specific Jessops branch by a nominated individual.

When Jessops introduced a new accounting system this was stopped.

To be honest if you shop around you can usually find things cheaper on line and Jessops will often match that price as well.

Aparently camera clubs can apply for a discount card but that is only for Jessops own brand items.
