Hi everybody
Recently there has been some discussion about various techniques in photoshop and its not always easy to explain, sometimes, in a written form the various solutions.
A friend of mine, Chris Chedgzoy, has made a series of short videos that introduce various techniqes in photoshop including adjustment layers and layer masks. These are not designed to be the definitive methods for these effects but they are just to demonstrate one method of using these techniques, there are many more out there.
They are all about 11 or 12 megabytes in size, one is 16mb, and are easily down-loadable if you have a broadband connection. Just right click on the links below and select "save target as" to save them to your computer and watch over and over again at your leisure. Members of the DPS will be hearing more about Chris very Soon.

Warning sometimes the site these are saved on can run very slow, due to peak use in the evenings, so try to download off peak if possible it will work much quicker then.

Thanks for posting the four videos and please thank your friends Chris for producing them.
After looking at the post by Max 'Yellow Helmet' it inspired me to download the videos and after I watch them, shall be experimenting further with Photoshop.
I am really glad that I became a member of the forum and DPS, as it has made me more enthusiastic about developing my photographic skills.

Unfortunately there are no others in the series as yet, but Chris said he may do some more if he gets time. I have seen him doing these and its very hard to get right, as you have to do it in one hit, any big mistakes and you have to start allover again.

This site has lots of good tutorials, not videos though. There are some real gems in there if you look and some very inspirational ideas.
