The Lancaster. :o

I find this aircraft quite difficult to photograph, I always seem be in the best position to get back lighting and the under side.
What I realy want is front lighting and the top side.
This was shot at 1/320 may be I should go a bit lower to get a bit more prop blur but I might then end up with plane blur if I'm not careful but the BushHawk is really helping.

Well Simon the nearest I have got to that holy grail is the shot below from Duxford a few weeks ago. I was at the eastern end of the runway and this was shot just after the Lanc and Spitfire's did their arrival fly past, whilst splitting to display solo.

Its a lousy shot and too far away, but I do not have an 800mm lens.

Tom pleased to hear that I am not alone.
I think I will write to Squadron Leader Pinner to tell him of our photographic dilemma and suggest if at all possible they fly to show the Lancaster’s Top Side to spectators on the airfield, a run like the Bombay/Underside run that the Lanc now does.
Simon
P.S. and while they are doing this move the sun to spectator side rolllaugh
