Help!!!!
Whenever I download pictures from my DSLR to my computer they are always about 1.5 stops under exposed, even though they were perfect on the camera screen.
Hi John,
Thats an unusual one . . .
The LCD is not a totally accurate representation of an image but purely a guide.
Check the exposure of the image on the camera by looking at the histogram (assuming your using a DSLR)
Check that your colour mode is the same on the camera and the photo software (ie adobe rgb)
Check the monitors brightness and contrast settings or better still Calibrate the monitor.
Regards
Tony
I would echo what Tony says.
The screen of a DSLR is not the best way of checking out exposure. Check to see what brightness level it is set at, as well as that of your your monitor.
It might be worth a check on your camera for exposure compensation, if that is possible on your camera. I have accidently set exposure comensation of a negative value before now, and not realised until I downloaded a lot of very dark images.
