What are DVD discs made from, how does one make them unreadable, how does one distroy them and where does one throw them away.

Have you been having cheese late at nght again?
1. DVDs are made of a reflective metal layer embedded in a polycarbonate (which is clear plastic).
2, 3 & 4. I think the most exciting way is to put it in a microwave on high <_< (ONLY JOKING) I tend to scratch the service all over and then shred it.
I don't think they require any special disposal just normal refuge.

A blow lamp has the effect of making them virtually unreadable.
Scratches can be polished out so they need to be distorted or cut to be fully effective.
I know one guy who makes drinks coasters out of them by dipping in boiling water and forming them over the botom of a mug. <_<
