Hi Simon,

Have you been having cheese late at nght again?

1. DVDs are made of a reflective metal layer embedded in a polycarbonate (which is clear plastic).

2, 3 & 4. I think the most exciting way is to put it in a microwave on high <_< (ONLY JOKING) I tend to scratch the service all over and then shred it.

I don't think they require any special disposal just normal refuge.

Regards

Tony

A blow lamp has the effect of making them virtually unreadable.

Scratches can be polished out so they need to be distorted or cut to be fully effective.

I know one guy who makes drinks coasters out of them by dipping in boiling water and forming them over the botom of a mug. <_<
