Well, you came to the right place to ask them. I apologize for my lack of organization. The site is basically a few ongoing roleplays and organization of them. Plus the constant comments and questions we have regarding each roleplay. We even have places your poetry or short stories can fit in here. We do not have the games and things other sites have. I guess you can go to those other sites to have fun with them. Here we have a good time but we love to write most of all.

I hope to develop a FAQ sheet from any questions you might need to ask here. Thanks ahead of time for anything that will help us improve.

Is there any template that you would like new members to follow when creating their character bio's?

The creation of your character is very important, yes for us, but it will really benefit you. You can add and subtract from it as you go along but this initial biography will help set your character in your mind and make you a better writer/roleplayer because it gives you boundaries. Remember your character must be a Tolkien character, or an original character that would fit seamlessly into Tolkien's world. We don't accept characters from other books and fantasy worlds.

Here is a general template we have used. You can look at how some biographies have been written to give you an idea. Most of us have our biographies linked in our signatures. Some biographies are extensive and some are very short and works in progress.

Name: (Your character's name)

Race: (Elf, dwarf, hobbit, human or orc? Sorry no half-elves or non-Tolkien races.)

Gender: (There are male and female characters in each race)

Birth: (When was your character born? Either the year or the age.)

Description: (What would others see and how would they describe your character if they wrote about him/her?)

Family: (Who were your character's parents, siblings, other relations? Please refrain from having your parents killed when you were young.)

Personality: (What type of personality does your character have? Try to stay away from angry at the world types.)

History: (What is the history of your character?)

Vedui, y'all. Ok, so I've been away a long, long time; has my old account been deleted?? It's me: Anubauglir! I decided to drop by and say "Vedui", but I couldn't log in. I didn't remember my password, but it also said no member by that name was on file. Glor? Did you even try to contact me to warn me I needed to check in or be deleted?? Sorry, y'all, my life got turned upsidedown. First of all, we got kicked out of the house for lack of paying the rent. Secondly, with no place to go, I was homeless for almost 2 months!! :o I've gotten into a transitional house, but technically I still don't have a place of my own. I lost my job at Albertsons after a month of being homeless, but I'm about to start a new one soon. Naturally, the stress on me took away time to do fun things, like join you all in this forum, let alone visit you at the ME Palace. If possible, please put my old accounts back, I'll try to post at least once a week. I've even forgotten the name of the orc character I had here :o Golzak?? something like that? Oh well.... Somebody please remind me. Ok, gotta get down to the shelter and check in with my job developer; I need a pair of steel-toe boots for work. Namari, y'all (did I spell that right?)

I can't remember the name of your orc character, but the new roleplay Ascendancy of Evil is a perfect story for orcs. Glor can help you with the name change. There were so many people who joined and then didn't post that Glor deleted the memberships that hadn't posted in a long time. It was announced beforehand on the website, but you might not have had access to a computer then. It was nothing personal, though! It's great to see you back and I hope you have time to have fun here again. :D

Namárië is the correct way but usually Namarie is fine. :D

On most sites the members who do not post for a long time get deleted. If I kept every member we ever had join we would have 500 members, most with 0 posts to their accounts. I try to keep the membership list reflecting who is active within the last few months, the other members get deleted. I won't send email to any member who has no interest in the site but you are welcome to join as your old member name if you want, or to make up a whole new one.

I am sorry for your bad luck and I am glad things are looking up for you. How is it you are online now, from the library?

I hope you come back regularly. The only real qualifier for being active is not promising to be active but showing up. So maybe you can join us and have fun roleplaying. I look forward to your return under whatever name you wish.
