I have asked Fingolfin to do all the work related to setting up one roleplay in the time of the Two Trees in Aman or in the first age, including the flight of the Noldor. Please give input on ideas for Fingolfin to consider on a separate thread here or in Middle-earth palace. Once an outline of the roleplay is discussed and submitted, a list of characters will be drawn up and placed here as well. Each individual roleplayer is invited to fill out a "biography" of the character or characters they wish to play and submit it to the administration. If its obvious the roleplayer understands their character(s), that person will be invited to play. As you can see, this will challenge each of us to research! I hope it will be an enlightening and enjoyable experience for us all. Of course, the roleplayers involved will be expected to check the thread daily and take turns with their posts.

All other roleplay ideas and suggestions must go through the administrators of this site before coming to print on this forum. You may wish to go to Middle Earth Palace to discuss your ideas first with others.

When will it start? Time is not as important as organization and input right now.

The First-Age Roleplay is "Land of Ice and Snow", and can be found in the roleplay section of the board. Rules and character lists are posted there.

Don't know much (or anything) about the Silmarillion? Please still feel free to join. The story background will be posted, and assistance is available for anyone who needs help with their character backgrounds.

Hello everyone!

This is just an announcement (of sorts) that the Land of Ice and Snow <tm> RP will be starting up next week, that is, the week of 11 July. I will be posting a background to the story to set things up, so that we all know what's happened.

If you have any questions, let me know. And, as there are a lot of available characters, if you have not yet joined up, feel free. You can jump in once the RP has started.

In palace was discussed doing a 'scene roleplay' and I am following through with that in this post. I would like to see it take place in Gondolin. The majority of the roleplay will be done in Middle Earth Palace - in dialogue as live roleplay. We will have the narrator set the scene.

IDEAS:

Subject:
The return of Turgon's forces from the Nirnaeth Arnoediad to be greeted by those who stayed in the hidden city. The stories of battle and the sad feast of return.

The roleplayers might include:
Turgon, Glorfindel, Idril, Celulind or you might want to create a new character, or flesh out one that Tolkien noted in 'The Fall of Gondolin' in The Book of Lost Tales 2.


I am soliciting additional ideas from our members, please post them here before we make any decisions on the exact subject and place.
