saw your text, but I was wrapped up in the sort of things that go on when herself disappears to her sister's and I'm left in the house with teenagers running in and out, quarrelling, hunting for crisps and generally doing nothing productive... did get an hours' gym-and-swim with No 2 Son, and got No 1 Son's speedway bike ready for next week ( he has a meeting at Mildenhall sat evening ) so it wasn't a total loss, but the rest of the day was all stuff that could have been done days ago instead of watching who knows how many hours of soaps.
This is always a bit of an issue when I'm home, like most seamen I'm used to being either asleep or busy and staring at the tv for hours isn't really on my schedule
drove the younger two out working on Sandy River Belle and Waltzing Matilda till they couldn't stand any more of it, so I'm even on points....
anyway I'm still working in Cambridge so see you Thurs, aiming to be on the treadmill Mon and Weds so the old legs hold up a bit longer...
Yes no probs mate, wasn't the greatest spectacle of Football, Essex have a larger squad this year but still really struggling as it seems they've heavily recruited from their juniors who are somewhat undersized so the step-up is difficult.
Saxons played the whole game with their starting Offence (as available) and looked decent, I think I have a good insight into their game should they cross our path again in the playoffs.
Saw you called but that was right after the final whistle and I was beating a swift exit, I was in a hurry for my car to break down on the A1M!
Not sure I'll be out thursday but will no doubt see you if you make it along sunday- schedule post-game food at the blue lion into your plans :D
from what I have seen, Saxons are the main opposition to Cats in this end of the country at this level. I spent an evening surfing around webpages comparing scores and I can't see why Cats shouldn't go unbeaten if they keep their focus, and unless someone drastically improves
